Are planning to put uplighting?

I will have two for this gig. I am just getting started with uplighting so that will be an additional consideration when planning my setups and how much cabling I'll need, plus power concerns like where the closest outlets are and of course, how many feet of extension cords I'll need. Very good point. I ALWAYS do a site survey. I bring along camera, note pad, measuring wheel so I know how much cable I will need for power runs, speaker runs, uplights etc. & most important I bring along a small $5.00 circuit tester so I know if the building has good power. A few places I went to had power outlets wired in reverse (neutral and ground wired backwards) which can damage your sensitive equipment. Lucky they had an electrician re-wire the outlets before my gig lol

Those are critical things to look for as well. One thing I do have in my contract is that I must be placed within 10 feet of an outlet so usually access to power is not an issue. In this gym though, I'll have to have plenty of extension cords for the active speakers placed farthest away from me, and plenty of speaker cables too. Thanks for the comment!

HA! wearing my Red Cross shirt again today My thing with Bruce is I can't assume IF you like Bruce, you like John Cafferty or Rolling stones. You might, but it's never a certianty with me. It could be Steppenwolf or CCR or it could be Madonna or Prince. I can't nail down Bruce fans in a general sense.

it's obvious that with the small crowd and the blaring daylight - you went out of your way to keep them entertained - and that's very important as sometimes I feel some dj's forget that they are really hired to ENTERTAIN - rather than just simply play music. I think you made it special for the couple and the guests and I think they will really remember it positively.

@goldensoundsdisco - Actually, I did back in the old days but left that to the kids this time. It was a beautiful day for it but too hot to be on the beach all day for me. Thanks for watching!
