Great presentation!…. May I ask why you prefer using the mesh tool and not the wall tool to do the retaining wall?

If I may it would be helpful to talk about the reference level that allows to move the mesh vertically to adapt it to the zero of the project and yet get the right altitude.

Are stud walls a cheaper option to bricks?

How do you show batters and in particular how you have modeled the building pad that shows correctly in elevations? In Revit it appears somewhat easier as you can cut the site through join tools instantly and then figure out the batters using an extrusion tool dependant on what slope those batters are ie 1.1 (45 deg) 1.3 or 1.2 Really great content

Is there a way to extract the data out of an autocad file that has a contour map with a z-value when importing it into archicad and have it build a mesh automatically just like when we use the “import surveyor’s point to mesh “ option ?

HI, I have used ACAD years ago but belive this is a better program for what I am doing wich is drawing residential project to submit to the city for permits and use for quotes as well of course to use to build. Do you have a Start Here mtutorial that would start with the absolute begining like setting up the the sheets, scale, layers, ect? Thats how my brain works anyway.

My own poly lines seem not to jhave any effecy whatsoever on my mesh 😢 and it's dealing with my self esteem

If you are going to explain layers do it fully, you didnt explained the function of the lock layer button, the intersection priority ID or the show as wireframe button

I understand that it's simpler especially for beginners. But I think it would be easier and more efficient to transform the drawing into an object (or use the 2d objects from the existing library) which will allow you to apply the "classification" and "properties" manager.

My company will be converting an old wood mill into a mixed use development in north Idaho, US. I have heard of lydar apps that you can load onto your phone or tablet and scan existing buildings and load the point clouds into Archicad. Hi, what is the name of book, also where can it be purchased?

Maybe I've been working at the lower end of the architectural market, but I've never had enough time to spend doing that on each elevation by the time you consider updates each time. Best I ever did was overlay a sketch render, but even that was a waste of time.

I have kind of a problem with this and in my ground floor they have to be drawn in discontinued lines but I don't how to do that.
