Unknown song [1962 or '63]

I found this song on an old tape from a flea market, and I don't know its title or singer. I've tried Googling the lyrics I heard, but there are no reasonable results. I tried running it through websites that identify music, but no results there, either. Does anyone know the title and/or singer of this song? This recording is distorted, and the first part of the song is missing. Judging from ot...
Law - Shelter of Your Arms [1977]

"Shelter of Your Arms" by Law from their 1977 album "Breakin' It". This isn't the White Stripes or Greenhornes song of the same title, nor is it the same-titled songs sung by Neil Diamond, Willie Nelson, Sammy Davis Jr., etc. It's just a quite common song title.

This is the best!!!! Such talent!!❤
Nice history on the band and the WKTK album. Whoever posted this, thanks for uncovering it from obscurity! I am one of the co-writers of this song. There is a convoluted history behind this song. There were actually THREE versions of this song. For the first version, the band allowed the producer to mix the song without anyone from the band being present. When we heard the final mix, we did not like it, so we remixed it ourselves. The producer then became disgruntled and disavowed having been the producer. The band had soon thereafter disbanded without yet releasing the 45rpm. Anyway, there were now two versions/two mixes. Then, shortly afterwards, the songwriters reformed the band with a new lead guitarist and we now wanted to put the 45 rpm out. However, the new guitarist wanted to do his own solo, so we recorded a new guitar solo and mixed that in and now had a third version. The 3rd version is the version that went out on the 45rpm. However, I don't remember which version ended up on the WKTK album, but it may be the one on here, or this could have come from a cassette tape as many were floating around. Maybe the person who posted this can answer that question. However, this version here is NOT the version that became the 45 rpm. If you want to hear the version that ended up on the 45 rpm, look me up on my RUclips channel under: Greg Sinners and you will find it along with the B-Side (Ten Years) and more songs.
That guitar solo was performed by original guitarist Neal......
Fantastic
Lorraine is one of the most under-rated singers who ever opened her mouth and belted out a song. also wonderful is her performance on "Long Last Look" a Carter/Minto song.
Wow. Well, that was bloody awful.
You are alive.
Shes the best!! A female Jimmy hendrix the record companies said she shreds on the guitar!! Writes plays lead sings all her songs doesn't read a note of music plays by ear & remembers everything she writes!! Shes incredible what a natural Talent from God!! God bless her love you cuz!!! ❤YOU ROCK!🎸🎸🎤🎵🎶🎹🥁PLAYS DRUMS TOO LIKE HER AWESOME BROTHER SAL!! 👍🥁🥁😊
So glad to see her finally getting credit , just wish it had been a lot sooner... We heard her in the 70s and still play her Lp today!!!🤩
This is my favorite song on this album. Especially love the ending chord progression. Great song writing, Andy. ♥️
Charted on the Billboard Bubbling Under Chart in July of 1983. It peaked at 108.
Great pop song from 1983, should have been a bigger hit.
How, where, can I buy this album? One of my all time favorites! Need more!
Love this!
This was a great song
Great memories with ‘Rain” Lorraine! Hope all is well with you... 👍
this song can not be written by this band. It's a Lou reed song, also done by the Runaways.
that's why the label says. L Reed.
still going.....48 years later.
Proud to be a best friend of Lorraine's first cousin, Jimmie!
Jay Mitchell she sings very well 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾!!!! 🙂🙂
Heard this version before I ever heard Gene Cotton's. I liked his too, but this version by Vicki Lehning will always be my favorite.
But, it sounds like Jackie Wilson too.
Sounds like O C Smith if this helps?.
I like this. While others are playing the same old stuff, we have these songs that they don't even know exist.
I consider it a W everytime I hear a song I haven't heard before. And a really big W if I actually like the song
Love this version thanks. It's a great song no matter who sings it.
I like this song and remember it as a child, released on DJM label (Dick James Music) on 4th February 1977 and so typical of the time. It didn't chart and my sister and mother think it's rubbish so maybe it's one of those lousy songs that's a good record that only my strange mind can grasp. All the same, I like it as I do a lot of 45s that didn't go anywhere. I just bought a mint 45 copy of it so as long as I'm happy lol!, who cares.
THANK YOU, was looking for this version for hours
Saw them at the University of Guelph with Valdy.
