I like World Adventures because of the various cultural inspirations, even if it is small. But Sims 3 also has lots of details and Easter eggs. I remember your video about the Sims 2 hot air balloon. There is one in the Sims 3 as well, I made a short video about it. You should consider covering some similar little details, like in the mine decoration in Sunset Valley there are glowing eyes etc.

The pop ups/text windows in the top right usually tells you what you gettin/looting/grabbing etc. when it comes to tombs! In general the pop-up/text window is really useful! But I'm not sure what was happening tbh with that hole, cuz I know for a fact that that object should be in there and I have never encountered a glitch myself with that, so thats a bit weird. But yea otherwise, def read the pop ups in the top right! ;)

I love World Adventures. Not really part of my general gameplay but when I want to play with it I go all in. I love the tombs and quests. Lots of tombs can actually only be completed by visiting all 3 worlds because their stories criss-cross! It's fun if you like puzzles and completing collections. Really not sure what was happening for you with the hole in the ground not giving you the quest item! As someone else said, the item is a lucky baseball and the glowing aura hole should be giving it to you. This is the tutorial quest for France so I don't know if the game will spawn the other France quests if you don't finish this one.

The Sims Wiki states that the mysterious object is a lucky baseball, hope this helps...

Yeah, the social interaction system is very very different. The context is very important for opening up more interactions. Romantic conversations have 3 contexts: Flirty, Alluring, and Irresistible. Alluring will add the Massage, Confess Attraction, First Kiss, and Makeout (if boyfriend/girlfriend+ status already) interactions. Irresistible will unlock Leap into Arms, Whisper in Ear, Stroke Cheek, Embrace, Makeout (when not dating), Propose Going Steady, Propose Marriage, Woohoo, and Try For Baby. Friendly conversations are very similar with 3 contexts: Okay, Being Sociable, and Being Friendly. Two important interactions are locked behind Being Friendly: Ask to Move In and Ask to Stay Over (also requires being later in the day). Changing the context just requires doing more successful interactions in the category you're going for, usually about 3-4 successes and it'll go up. Your cake caught fire because there were curtains above them 😂 Memories are found in the Scrapbook which is in the bottom-left corner of the Simology panel. Your sims don't actually remember these things like in 2, it's just for the player. Memories bloat save files if you don't turn them off or get a mod to cut out memories for dumb things like "Went Swimming. Taking a swim is a relaxing and refreshing way to spend a hot afternoon." I personally love the way rabbit holes work, especially when the household starts getting larger. You can keep tabs on the whole house at the same time but maybe you need a break from someone for a while: Rabbit hole! Have 1 or 2 sims work something active and everyone else can go disappear for a bit. It's a stress-reducer. I don't need more community lots that aren't adding anything meaningful to do.

Ifnyou bought the sims 3 on steam, wait for the holiday sales for major discounts, that's what me and my sisters did for around 3 years almost a decade ago to get all the packs

Oh it's so nice to watch someone discovering sims 3 for the first time! I love this part of the game, I still remember how desperately I wanted it when I was a kid but my computer wasn't too good and it took a while until I finally could play haha. Hope you enjoy it all the way!

You can only give your kids traits if they grow up well. If they had a bad pregnancy/childhood they get random traits.

Protip, instead of stopping the flirting to go to bed, flirt until it says they find your sim "extremely irresistible", and then the option to woohoo will be in the sim interaction pie menu, and they won't reject you...

I borrow it to see if the same humble pc from Sims 2 would run it. It didnt work well, slow motion situation 🤔 The open world was an amazing feature, but i guess that was the price to be paid. Dont really understand whey they took it off from sims 4 though (at least as far i know). Love your gameplay and video Reese. with flirting or trying to woohoo a sim, i try to keep an eye on how the other sim is feeling about the convo -- best to try when the other sim feels like you're irresistible!!

Here's some tips/info: There's more kissing interactions available when you have more packs. There's "dip kiss" "heat of the moment kiss" and a few others i think but i can't remember which packs they came with Picking traits for the baby is all just depending on how the pregnancy goes. If you want to pick both traits for the baby, keep the moodlets of the mother positive like granting wishes like getting a massage while pregnant and stuff same with when the toddler grows up into a child, make sure they learn to walk, talk and use the toilet and you can pick their 3rd trait In the options menu if it's too annoying you can check "suppress opportunities" if the quests are that annoying Also yeah sims 3 sims always get stuck they're SO stupid, if you have a sim who gets stuck you can turn "moveobjects on" under the cheats panel as long as you've already enabled testing cheats and go into buy mode and move them from the spot their stuck in. The rabbit hole thing is a huge issue in the sims 3, i think they made it like that so the game doesn't lag as much since it's an open world and they chose having an open world rather than open lots. I hope you enjoy the game more and more as you play and explore it more!! :)

This is my favourite sims game. I was only 8 when it came out and my brother was 12 turning 13 and we bought it when it was new but it didn't work on our computer. We couldn't play it until 2011 and i became addicted to it then and played it religiously until 2020. I still play it today but I play Sims 4 more purely because it's easier to access but The Sims 3 is forever the best game in the entire series. I feel so privileged to say I grew up with this game and this was THE GAME of my life. I know the game so well, all the lore, the townies, etc. it's just so fun and so nostalgic to play especially in Sunset Valley which is what I almost always choose no matter how many expansion pack and store worlds I have (which is them all). Also in terms of customisation, you can change more about patterns than just the colour wheel, you can make patterns plain and have loads of different cool patterns and colours in the menu and the eyelashes are in the hair options, it's just a slider on the length. There's also a star sign you can choose, it's the last option and it's underneath the favourite colour and food button. if you need any tips, just ask :))

It's so cool seeing how quickly things load in cas when you play just base game lol. I started playing the sims 3 about 2/3 years ago and I had all the expansion packs and store content 🏴‍☠️ so I've never known any other way. I plan to play a lepacy where I play base game and each expansion pack individually

I miss Sims 3.Once I had children with a Ghost Lady.😅

For first expansion pack I'd say choose between: Late Night, Seasons or Generations. (The last two add a lot to the main core gameplay of the game, I'd lean towards seasons tho). My personal guilty pleasure is World Adventures tho, just because that expansion pack is ridiculously big, the amount of lots/worlds/tombs is insane, but for a beginner might be a bit complicated. Also recommend the game guides that pop up in the top right corner from time to time!

Sims 3 has a lot of bugs because EA won't be bothered fixing it, the bugs could crash your game and corrupt your files so i highly recommend you to download nraas mods overwatch and errortrap, this will help your in game lag and make your gameplay smooth!

‏‪7:00 You can change the colors better by going into the prests in Create a Style (the tiny boxes, and the drop-down menu) rather than just using the color wheel, which could've made an all-white headband much easier... 8:12 You could've also explored much more into the CAS sliders, there's literally a slider for everything (that is part of the face), that would've helped you in finding the eyelashes in ‏‪11:43‬‏... People say Sims4 is much more versatile, and while it's true in some aspects, what Sims3 has to offer is more than enough...

Hey!! The lash customation is in the hair section, and you can customize the makeup comor how you want from the button above and right from the opacity slider :) It shows a palette at first but there is also an option for a whole color wheel !

3:55 6:50 😂😂 Sims 1 together with Zelda were the games of my childhood. Sims 1 is so unique... you could tell it was really made with love. I guess they didnt give so much attention to Woohoo in Sims 1 because we were not ready for it kkk but im surprised with all the places they could do that. I didnt remember! And damn... this game is hard!! i dont know how i used to be good on it being just a kid. In portuguese they translated 'Woohoo' to 'Oba-Oba' (something more like Yay-Yay) which sounds cool i think but in Sims 1 i dont remember what they used, i think they were not so creative though 🤔 Loved the video, i really had good laugh with the unpredictability of sims! The subtitles were great! 😊

Great video, for me FreeTime is a must have since I always use the hobby system to give my sims personality along with the secondary aspirations and the rest of aspiration benefits; my lower would be pets since I feel like I could definitely play without it, even though it's a great pack I just don't find much gameplay besides having cute dogs and cats in the family hahaha - The one that makes me question a lot is nightlife, in one hand I barely go to downtown and I don't really use cars since I send my sims walking everywhere (I hate waiting for the cab) but I do use dates quite often and I love using the chemistry system to pair my sims; overall I feel like something about Sims 2 expansion packs is that they always had something great that made you think "I truly need it"

I think it was cute how Bella pulled Randy into the igloo to play, also the rejection reaction of Randy was cute, too. The heart-shaped play has different reaction afterwards like crying as you showed. IIRC, some other reactions are slapping their partner, cheering. It's not "playing" but sims can toast each other and kiss on one or maybe both of the bear-skin rugs. Just another romantic touch in Sims 1. I never knew sims could play in the Studio Town trailer! I guess my sims have been too busy and getting too exhausted working at Studio Town to try it out. lol Here in the USA, there's a saying: Don't come a knockin' if the van is a rockin'.

To me it seems funny how The Sims 1, despite being the oldest game, is least prudish with regards to this, since your Sims can just do random strangers, i.e. the "Party Crashers" (Pete Dropinsky & Paulette Dropinsky), by inviting them to the heart bed. Know what I mean?

My list is pretty much similar to yours Open for business and Seasons was mind blowing for me back then Seasons was something that i wanted since Sims 1, so when it came out was kind of a check point in my memory. i still remember how excited I was! Pets was crazy to, i really love the attention they had to details from animals, the animations... was so ahead of its time. I like Nightlife too, but my pc was so 'humble' (new word learned, thank you) that it used to take like 5min to load the lots 😂 because of it i couldnt enjoyed it the way i wanted Bon voyage i didnt like that much. in my opnion was kind a downgrade to Sims 1, it looks like normal lots, with nothing so diferent to do. In Sims 1 Vacation i loved the games that you could play and receive some special coins to change for suvenirs, the voley and snowboard was really nice too. And each lot was diferent... Bon voyage looks all the same. really nice to see you again, keep up the good work! 😊

Interesting choices. Though in my video I would have ordered so much differently. Quite honestly Sims 2 era have more hits than misses in their DLCs so I would put every pack at cheering hahah

Reese, this video ended up to be really deep!😊 i used to question me if sims had conscience. i mean, they have intelligence to make choices, such as to stay alive in the game, desires to achieve so they can be happy etc okay, they just do what the programmers made them to do, but imagine if they evolve to a new state of conscience and be afraid, for example, of the game being unstall, so they really would die? thats crazy i know, but at least would give a good movie. Maybe The Sims movie will be about that? this was great video!! and you made me play sims 2 again, i really needed to relax my mind, so thanks for this! 🙏
