True. It's a mess. As compared to PC, everything looks blurry and muddy but there are times when it does look good.

Knull is everywhere. It would be a shame if they don't bring Knull in a DLC or in the next game. Certainly would be a missed opportunity.

I am in the same boat (no pun intended). The trailer intrigued me and I had put this away for far too long trying to decide on what platform I should play this. Finally caved in and bought the PS5 version and I find myself playing it for hours in the end. And what you said is so true... "Chill with a tinge of anxiety" 💯

Wow...High/Ultra! I can't get past Medium with a few of settings set to High. :( I checked my drivers and it's all up to date. Perhaps I should lower res from 1440p to 1080.

Having worked in animation, I totally agree with you and as I see from the book a lot of it didn't make it to the final cut and I can only imagine what's there in the book is just the tip of the iceberg. Your telephone game analogy is spot-on!

@@thesecretsaucechannel What striked me the most is the many original renderings of environments, be it the urban planning and architecture of Nueva York(above and underground), interior designs of rooms and spaces like Miguel's lab, looked like they were made by professional practitioners in the field. Yet after it went through, no doubt many hands that didn't exactly share that deep understanding, the environments that are seen on the big screen now looked more like the work of amateurs. For example, Nueva York was completely sterile and didn't look like a real, inhabited city at all, but when I saw the concept I realized how much character there originally was. Some of the original idea shines through, but much of the magic is lost in the translation. Likewise, my disappointment stems also from experience, and I just feel sad that were it not for this video, I'll never know that a different Nueva York, a different 2099 lab and so many other environments had once been so beautifully envisioned. Great atmospheres in some of the concept renderings too, that didn't look as visceral after going through the animations pipeline. I bet some of it just owes to graphics/rendering limitations, some of it perhaps miscommunication. But that's just the current reality of things...especially for huge projects like this. Artists and animators crunched hard for this movie, they already did their best.
