Evaluation flight to test a small externally mounted HD camera on the CJ-6A. The results were less than satisfactory due to vibration, buffeting, or a combination of the two.. I will explore a better, more rigid, mounting method for the next evaluation flight.

How good is the HGS on the 737! Even the old 200's have this awesome tech! Just takes out all the guess work for those that aren't landing on ILS

I could do that… keep the circle on the circle and stay even with the arrow. Couldn’t possibly be any more difficult than docking a boat.

If I remember right. the camera used was owned by a PRAN Shultz. I was there in the PR shop when this was filmed.
What is the small circle that floats around the big circle?
Big circle is the inertial flight path vector. Shows where the plane is actually going (what's in the middle of the circle is where the plane will impact, if nothing changes). The small circle is the guidance cue, which is shown to "lead" the pilot to fly the plane in the right direction to follow the guidance commands (from the flight director in this mode). The basic piloting goal is to fly the big circle, putting it right over the small circle. "Make a donut", to know you're following the guidance.
Following the ILS... if you noticed the smaller circle inside the bigger circle in the center of the HUD indicates the aircraft is on the proper glide slope.
And the localizer. Both directions in one symbol set.

WOW What a rare site, it must have just taken off. Usually they take off go 4 to 10 minutes and then crash into the ground killing everybody in the plane and anybody on the ground. The plane is designed to kill people and does a great job

Last time i flew with HUD was in 1999 in Eagle One Harrier Attack for PSX, also that was last combat plane i flew.
