I hope the guy who runs this account read this…. I’m 31 now, but actually watched all his half life walk throughs when I was at school multiple times- noted down his channel on a paper to come back to it years later but lost it. Just randomly thought about his channel today today… good to see he uploaded again, but was always curious what happen to him

I remember GammyGoose (actual channel name) commentaries when it was on google videos, many many years ago. To anyone wondering, I think GammyGoose is Mark Zelmer - an artist who lived in Puget Sound, Washington State. GammyGoose said during Episode 2 commentary, that he also lives there. The age is roughly accurate as he is over 50 now and comparing his current photo on his fineartsamerica profile to his photo (face scan) with lab mask, coat and needle in the episode 2 commentary - similarities can be seen. Another thing that suggests GammyGoose is Mark Zelmer is his bio description on fineartsamerica (which was clearly written by Mark himself): "Mark enjoys running, absorbing any and all science fiction, boxing". In HL2 commentary, during the 'fight for the horse monument' he said he likes to run with the mp3 player and plays LG Orbifold track, imagining a strider chasing him. Also in Episode 2 commentary during the pit fight with antlions he complimented Kelly Bailey's 'Vortal Combat' soundtrack and said again he likes to listen to it while running and boxing. Mark Zelmer is a figurative oil painter - just like GammyGoose, and it is more than coincidence that these two people resemble so much. I wonder tho why he disappeard from the YT so suddenly. P.S. Mad respect channel Myron for amazing hd remasters and also channel Flamov for keeping the original videos. You guys are legends!

Does anyone know anything else about GooseGoose? Does he have any other videos or work out there that anyone knows of?

Never seen these videos before. I must have been starting my first year of high school when the original videos were made, which was years before I ever heard of or played Half Life 2. It's since become one of my favorite games. I find his analysis of the game very interesting and approach games in a similar way, always being fascinated by the small things and the seemingly less important details. For years now I've wondered what the original combine synths looked like before they were enslaved, what kind of worlds they came from, whether they were peaceful creatures and how they would behave in their natural environments. Same with the antlions. Whenever I play games I think way too deeply about everything lol

This is one of the few things I love unabashedly about the internet. People painstakingly keeping random stuff from over a decade ago in my memory alive.
