We used to turn the carburetor shoud upside down to get more air in the engine it made a great sound, miss my 77LJ.

Had a 1975 Monty Carlo with this same color combo. Exception was bench seat and power moon roof. Great car . Also loved my 1978 triple black Grand Prix bucket leather seats , T Tops, wire wheels . An era of chrome and style lost 😢

I remember in 75’ my friend had to pick a part up in service at the Cadillac/Pontiac dealership and in the showroom was a brand new 75’ GP SJ loaded. Just put red where this one is blue and there you have it. Absolutely gorgeous. I couldn’t wait for my friend to come through the showroom I’m yelling his name, come check this out! My dad had a triple black 73’ GP with a red pinstripe loaded.

The color is killer… a lot of classic cars tend to be some shade of brown or orange. This is one of the best combinations out there.

In 77 you could get that with T-tops but only a 301 v8. 77 was last year of the big girl.

I have this same color and interior combo with my '78 Z28 , about 350 h p , and it's in excellent condition , with crager SS wheels , and i just recently installed a Tremec 5 spd. Beautiful car you have . I love mine , have had it for 11 years now . Enjoy the ride !!!

Interesting car. Beautiful condition, nice color, LJ’s are rare. Fascinating equipment, automatic temperature control, tilt steering wheel, 400 engine, rally wheels, AM/FM stereo, maybe 8 track, rally gauges, but manual windows and seat. I bet this was an ordered car. That key buzzer is still annoying all these years later, as is the gas gauge that can vary from empty to half tank in one mile of driving on a twisty road. Nice, nice car.

That's either an '80 model w/a '81 instrument cluster OR it's an '81 car . In 1980 the speedometer read 130 mph , 1981 it was 85 mph . That the only way I could tell 'em apart . (Not the best at reading VIN's)

I have the sister car of this one. It was my father's and it was one of 200 (I was told) made by Custom Coach that had purchased all the equipment from GM, after GM decided not to make convertibles anymore. Mine is not the Biarritz model.but is a similar color called Sterling Blue with the blue interior and white top. I need to post on here as well.
