We have a local pool club and we are possibly trying Saratoga pool game next. I cannot find anywhere the following rules. If its 9/8 ball combo which rules apply . 1) potting the 8 Ball early on a legal shot who wins? In 9 ball you win in 8 ball you lose. Do you lose or do you win or does the ball come out and you continue? 2) if you get to the 8 and you miss the 8 ball or strike another ball first do you lose? or is it ball in hand for opponent? 3) I see a rule where you take a slop shot or bury your opponent on a safe shot. Something about giving the shot back to the shooter? Not sure what this means. Thanks

I have used this in practice to get in stroke. I don’t understand the “now the ghost breaks” part. What happens if the ghost makes a ball on the break? Are you then playing as the ghost against yourself? Or are you deliberately breaking dry as the ghost to see if you can run out from the resulting position?

I swear everything with pool cues comes down to preference. Which is understandable but soooo annoying. You can't trust any opinions. You don't have an option to try before you buy. So buying a pool cue is tough.

Just a warning! 2:30 with two points on one ball is not according to the current official rules. It must be three different balls that are pocketed or cross. Unfortunate that the author posted this wrong interpretation of the rule.

Well then you are lucky they sent you a cue that exactly weight as ordered. I got one that was completely out of balance very butt heavy and not the weight I ordered. I ordered 19 ounce got 19.2 ounce. But with a butt heavy as 15.6 ounce which is way to much for a 19 ounce cue. So be warned when onderring at this company they will not solve the issue best you can get is get your money back, but then they do not want you anymore as customer. You have to accept the cue as is. If you are a serious player I advise stay away from this. They said to me their butts and shafts all have different weights and get combined to be roughly the weight you order. So If you are lucky the cue has good balance or very bad if you are not.

Bruh you complicated this way too much. It’s clearly not repeatable, because the 9 ball doesn’t move every time. Just hammer it straight at middle from the side diamonds. You will automatically make one of the break.

My father was using this app and miscued and jumped the ball off the table. When the ball hit the cement wall it registered at 67mph. I haven’t beaten his speed yet. lol.

It should also be noted, 8 Ball BCA rules state that if the 8 ball is pocketed on break, the person breaking can either respot the 8 ball and continue shooting OR they can have it reracked if they do not like the layout and break again.

what kind of 6 foot table is this? the upper right corner looks unlevel, I could see off the break, the 14 ball by the right corner rolls off to the right rail in the beginning shots, maybe the table needs a leveling? This is incorrect, it’s legal to double bank. Just call the correct pocket.

Bank game that's much more fun (we've played both) ,is 11 point bank. Every rail the object ball hits counts as one point. Has to be a clean shot, balls don't get spotted, you rack again if needed and continue to do so, until someone reaches 11 points. It's a blast and many two, three and four rail shots come into play in this game. Once in a while the table is clear enough for a five rail shot ,too. ALSO.....ANY number of rails is valid in this game. As long as the bank shot is clean, it counts.

The only possible way to have no deflection is to hit center ball. Any application of side spin, no matter how small, will induce some amount of deflection. Without some compensation for spin you will not go straight where you aim. Physics is absolute. I will say you are very close to an epiphany but not quite there yet. Keep up the good work though you are doing good, you just need to spend a little more time mastering what you have done here. My friend and I have spent 10 years studying deflection and will soon release some game changing info to the world. Remember, you are close to something and doing very well.
