At 36:40 they clearly explain what they do, you just weren't listening to the explanation. You were talking while they were explaining about what the creatures did to his crew about a minute or 2 before you asked if they make them tell the truth. The main reason why they killed off Spock was because Leonard Nemoy didn't want to return for another movie. However, after filming, and having the test audiences reaction, he convinced him to actually reconsider reprising his role, and so they altered the final scenes to give the possibility of Spock's return. However, can you imagine what those who saw it in the theater thought? They had no assurance that there'd be another movie with Spock returning. They left the theater only knowing that he was dead. We have the advantage of the later movies to know what happens, they didn't. From ones replies who saw it in the theaters, there wasn't a dry eye in them. DS9 has the best fleet battles in any TV series that I've seen before. They move like large ships and slug it out just as much. It's definitely a needed watch.

Have you ever got to see the "Adult Wednesday Addams" 13 episode series by Melissa Hunter? She basically got a 'cease and desist' order dropped on her, for her RUclips series, then a few years later Netflix created their own 'Wednesday' series. One of her episodes even got a "Very Adult Wednesday Addams" porn parody. She's still appeared as Wednesday more than Jenna Ortega, and she's still proud the work she did on her series. She probably would have been able to continue if she hadn't tried crowd funding the second season, and once money got involved, the Addam's Estate clamped down on her. But without Melissa I don't think we would have gotten an official 'Wednesday' series from Netflix, or this dance. Good work, and thanks to you, Jenna, and Melissa. 😃

I watched this series during its original run. It was syndicated directly to network affiliates, which was quite rare and innovative. I watched it on FOX.
