I just bought an old 70s RV it has the bargemon l66 but it says made in China and it's got a lot of broken parts someone broke into the RV and busted it where can I get the parts I need to fix it and the key cylinder. Or what are they replacing them with a really don't want to cut my hole bigger what do they make that fits in the same 7 x 2 hole
Thank you for this video! Just ordered your L-66 key cylinder replacement. Can’t wait to install it. I appreciate your videos, keep up the good work.
I DIDNT RELISE HOW MUCH MY OLD TRAILER DOOR LOCK WAS HOLY MOLY
I have a 62 shasta with a l66 lock is there a replacement lock on the market that is interchangeable with it.
Help! I have a 1972 vintage camper and the handle is broke on the outside & my husband said it does lock. We are wanting to replace it but can't afford what they are asking for replacement! Can it be replaced with a newer model?
Thank you so much for these videos!
Thanks for posting this video. My lock just broke on my 1970 Avion and I took it apart to find the bolt had broken on what sounds like is the Bargman L-200. Can’t wait to call you in the morning for a machined replacement
Any suggestions as to what to replace the l-300 with? Mine functions but I do not have a key for it, I’m stuck on what to do. As I could buy a cylinder w/ keys off eBay(~$40), and hope it works the way I need, and hope that no body else has the same key as mine(which would be rare but possible) or try to find a new lock that covers that big of a hole. www.rvshop.com/Bargman-L300-Replacement-Lock-by-Bauer-_p_73883.html (~$115) which has a dead bolt/an added level of security, but only comes in black and will stick out like a sore thumb on my trailer and does not fit the hole quite right. I would need to drill through the frame, and to me, doesn’t look square/the same shape as the bargeman. Please help with suggestions.
Is there a replacement for the Keller key cylinder.having a hard time finding it. Great video btw
I need a replacement for the L66. I have the inside part, but the outside part handle is broken Do you have any suggestions? Please? Right now, we are using a bungie cord to keep the door kind of shut as we go down the road. Any suggestions are apprecicated. shortlisa@gmail.com
I have the Bargman L-100/L-200 lock, it's from a 1967 Forester, cub. This is the one with the short latch bolt, a lever style handle on the inside (stamped L-200-5), & a serrated grip knob on the outside (stamped L-100-2).. The camper didn't come with a key when I bought it. Is there a way to remove the cylinder plug so I can replace it. I took the knob off the lock, & can not find a way to remove the cylinder from the knob. I'm trying to be careful not to damage it in the process, since these things are selling up to $1300.00 on eBay! If it can't be removed, I was thinking about trying to impression a new key. I have done this with a pin tumbler lock before, but im not even sure what type of lock this is. Maybe a wafer lock? I'd appreciate any info, references, or ideas.
could you tell me what i do with the thin long bit on the inside just above the handle? L-300.
Hi Bunny, I'm not sure which bit you are referring to.
Unfortunately, Brian, we do not have anything for the L-77 yet other than the cylinders and keys. Give us a call at 800-644-4620 and ask for Steve. He can help you think through options.
Thanks for putting this video on the line. Are there any updates with replacements for the L77 lock set? I have a 1960 tradewind and I'm struggling to find a solution.
Thanks, Aragon Family. The KT lock was used from 1970 to 1977 on Airstreams. Here's our link to the items still available: www.vintagetrailersupply.com/category_s/229.htm Are you interested in specific information about them?
Thank you for this videos. Any plans on making a video of the KT lock used in 1970's Airstreams, I'm about to purchase one from your website. By the way you have an incredible amount of knowledge, we would love to see more videos. Thanks.
Thanks Donald. We're working on a reproduction of the L-66 now. No specific timeline yet, but it is on the front burner.
This is a very good video on these locks. I have the L-66 unit. They are hard to find, even used. I have rebuilt mine as best I can, with the new latch bolt and the cylinder lock. When they are found, they are often very pitted, as mine is. I do hope someone will re-produce them. Thank you for putting out this information.
