Living Green on a Blue Planet: Trillium Fest 24
LC Nature Park hosted it's third annual Trillium Fest on May 4th, 2024. LC Nature Park is a private preserve of over 200 acres. It consists of prairie, wetland, woods, and a sand dune. It is home to restored historic barns. It is also home to a herd of bison and a herd of elk. To mark the beginning of spring/summer Trillium Fest, which highlights the carpet of trillium flowers, is celebrated.
The festival is a time of volunteer educators, food trucks, supporting nature-focused agencies, and games that highlight the history and ecology of the area.
