You should be happy to take an opportunity to tell the person to listen to the great songs of the band on the shirt and don't whine about it. The only impression you are leaving is that metalheads are whiny babies who are not at all welcoming to newcomers. Ditch the gatekeeping and welcome even the ones who have no idea what metal can be. Like who do you think you are? The metalshirt police? Let people enjoy some cool shirts without showing them how much of a crybaby you are. You really think people are wanting to join metalculture and have a positive opinion when the "recruiters" are behaving like you?
