This is a 2 year old vid. Do you still have the commander? I just got one not to long ago that was gifted to me and im hooked. Its a 2006 4.7l. Its so fun to drive. I hope i have this for along time.
👏🏼
Hard to watch you struggle 😢
Thing I’ll grab the griddle burner combo looks handy
I just put an air mattress in the back , and my gear on a roof rack .
You've given me some great ideas! My 2006 is a great camper, the rear heater blows right on me. But I put an RV mattress in mine and it means I can barely sit up. I thought about removing the seats like you did but haven't committed yet.
What kind of mosquito net is that on the door?
Great video! What campsite were you at? Looking to reserve looks like a nice site
I just bought this exact same one 🖤
Another banger of a vid. How’s the condensation in the Jeep when you sleep? Windows down/netted helps some I’m sure
Loved this, what a chill video. Please keep making more bro. Vicariously lived through this while I wait to go this weekend. Do you know if dogs are allowed specifically on the lake?
What size is the base of the wood from fender well to fender well and back of front seats to rear hatch?
Not enough info say what size bults and what your doing
Yes well if your in Florida you better have that spray close by because them f******* will jump you and take it from you.
Hey Kyle, really nice video I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and also make highly engaging shorts out of them
I want to do this with my 2008. Im so excited I stumbled upon this video. I can't wait to follow the journey
Cool trip , good food, looks like fun.
For industrial 4 wheeling i would pass on this car.. but for anything else these are sweet
Thumbs up, greetings from Poland 🇵🇱
Is your commander a 3.7 liter or 4.7 liter. Or did you get the really nice one with the 5.7 liter hemi engine onboard?
She’s a 3.7. I was searching for a hemi but 4x4 was more important for me and this one only had 79k miles on it. 👍🏼 thanks for watchin!
How long did it take you
I like the dramatic zoom in while reading the beer can.
I like your camera work. 😊
great video Kyle, make more!
I would be to worried of a spill or drips to stain the wood inside the jeep. You going to polyurethane everything afterwards?
Possible to ad piano hinged doors for under floor storage of things you don't have to access often, like jumper cables, lift jack etc. Maybe side drawers on the rear door space, just ideas to think about. Best of luck to you on your build!
I love it, this is inspiring. Always wanted to do the same but I'm 190cm tall. I think the car is a bit too small for me to sleep fully extended. What do you think ? What the usable lenght for sleeping without touching with your heaf/feets ?
Thanks! The platform is 6’ with plenty of room up front for a passenger. With a pillow I’m pretty maxed out on length so you would need to slide the front seat forward and extend the platform on that side with a folding piece unfortunately.
Looks like a successful 1st trip out!
I’m thinking of doing the same thing with a commander, how tall are you bro?
Nice! I’m 5’8, the platform is 6’ 👍🏼
@@quitwithkyle Thanks heaps bro! Your setup is really golden I might try to copy it
Hey, looks like the side mirrors can fold in… might make it easier to put on those mosquito nets.
So smart, thank you I’ll give it a try 👍🏼
I would not waste my time building on such a poor vehicle as a Jeep Commander. Do some talking to mechanics, it's one of the worst vehicles on the road for longevity and reliability.
Dang it, a tad bit late aren’t ya?
@@quitwithkyle it's not true
U dint even have a car
Incorrect, speaking from brand ignorance. I do not deny that certain jeeps built by Chrysler and Fiat are unreliable, but a 5.7l hemi commander with the limited trim (better materials & paint) is dead reliable. You can't deny the drivetrain reliability in 2003-2012 Dodge Rams can ya? Well guess what, the drivetrain, trans, engine, chassis are shared with the RAM!
@kepler656 yo I'm with this dude I'm currently been building a offroad rig with a 2007 commander limited sadly I have a 4.7 so head gaskets are a issue but other then that it's a solid vehicle and it was my daily for years before I started the build
I really enjoyed this! Nice work! You live outside; stop looking at the clouds! LOL!!😂 I’m from Belize, C.A! You want to see clouds, and mosquitoes?!!
I would love to go camping with you but I guess I would have to sleep on top of you.....which would be hot.
Save fuel taking lump of a seat system out.
Darn right! A simple way to increase HP to weight ratio is dumping seats. That rear seat looked like it weighed 200 lbs!
Just what I was looking for, thinking of getting one just for myself travelling to sleep in,how tall are you, Thanks.
I’m 5’8”, the platform is 6’ 👍🏼
"Bucatini & Meatballs = food coma"
"Bobcats like chicken?" 😃
Happy to not find that out! 😂
Great vid, keep em coming! Love the Commander content!
So jealous your 3rd brake light works !
Good channel, keep up the good work .
Just found you’re channel and I’m loving it, keep up the good work
Thanks! More videos coming soon
Nice
Hey man more videos
On the way! Sorry I’ve been on vacation, but I have some videos in the bag already. Stay tuned
New sub ! Liked 👍🙏😊🐸
after hearing that keybilly beer description, it sounds like you're going to have to take a camping trip to key west soon.
Sounds like a great idea 🤔
Join me for my first solo camp in the commander 👍🏼
I like your box. Hopefully you don't have to do a second coat of the stain
Thanks man! I actually did a couple coats (off camera lol)
Getting there! Can you use the power liftgate button on the inside to open it up from the inside?
hmm, I do not believe I have one of those...dang. However, I have found the side door as my go to entrance/exit.
Looking forward to seeing how you build it out! We just finished an overland build on our '09, but just using the third row area. You've got a lot of room to work with if you take the seats out!
Thanks for coming along on the journey, and I'd love to check out your overland rig!
just bought an 06 myself. It is a basket case right now, but I will be building one as well. Look forward to the build.
Thanks for coming along 👍🏼 and capture your build journey, let me know how it goes!
Looking forward to following your conversion of the Commander.
Thanks for coming along. The build is complete and the next video will be out soon. 👍🏼
