I've been using it like this since 2019, oil change and a couple of gasket changes were made, other than that nothing, I just use it
@@bmwz3lifestyle That's amazing. Have you considered turning up the boost. But then again 297whp on such a light car should be enough! I'm looking into going the turbo route. 2000 Z3 2.3. Same motor as yours.
The turbo is capable of a maximum of 400 hp, I would try to achieve this performance with a software update, the factory engine cannot handle more than this with 100 octane gasoline 🤔, so this can be a realistic goal 🙂 (factory fuel pump, siemens deka 630cc injector)

Great video! I own a z3 and when i shift into second and reach a high rpm there is a loud vibrating noise like a mini ar would yu have any ideas before i get it diagnosed?

The 2.3 but it’s actually the 2.5 engine

how did you do the ecu for this? do the stock computers have the maps set up for turbo?

@@rgc4945 This is an old project, started 5 years ago Vems ecu ,cables, dyno, competition clutch, injector, intercooler, and a few other things that's about it 2500$ I use a small turbo, unfortunately that's why the maximum whp is so low there is already an upgraded version of the current turbo on the shelf, I will replace it as soon as I have time, 360 whp can be expected with it, I don't think the engine can handle more than that

That’s got to be the worst driving I’ve ever seen. Try driving with smoothness and balance. And learn how to down shift we wed with “heel and toe” braking.

You do not HAVE to be smooth at all, especially not at these low speeds. Its all about feeling the weight of the car and how the weight shifts.

Hello, I see you top mounted the turbo... is there good clearance to the hood or would you consider doing a bottom mount if you had to do it again?

Exactly what I came here to say. If he decided to do that mid corner he'd lose the rear and wreck it. Also, feel bad for his syncros,, they're wearing a lot faster than they need to.
why is it locking the rear ? flywheel is too light ?
