This is a small group set from the Kansas City Irish Festival show. It features a few members of our band playing some more difficult music. This set is two regimental 2/4 marches, Highland Laddie and The Black Bear.

Our band's 2024 QMM in the Minnesota Highland Games Grade 5 Competition. The tunes are: Kilworth Hills Remembering Doctor Wallace Killiecrankie Jimmy Findlater This is the winning performance in grade 5 that day. It was also raining cats and dogs off and on throughout the entire day. We are elated with the win and will continue to keep working hard to improve the sound of the band.

Redwood Drone Reeds

Loving the sound of the redwood drone reeds in my inveran bagpipes. The closest “cane” sound I’ve ever had with the stability of synthetic reeds. Great job to @xavierboderiou7674 for making these stunning reeds. The tunes are a section of each from “The Glass of Beer” and “Joe McGann’s Fiddle”.

What make of small pipes are these? Where can they be purchased?
Oh hell no! Just why is the keyboard included in this?
@@maryfehrenbach9893 For several reasons. Mostly because we like it in there, but also because it ties the pitch of the pipes and the singers together. Seeing as how the pipes aren’t in concert pitch, the piano was the only reference point for the singers to start in the correct key/pitch. Moreover, I like the sound and what it added to a tune that is more or less boring for us pipers to play. Thanks for your input, but we’ll keep it like it is.
I can't explain why this music brings tears to my eyes. I'm a Panamian/American with Irish/British with north/central/southern Amrican Indian dna! I have no explanation! All I can say is that love the fife and drums to the utmost! Just listen to those pipes and drums! Magical in music making!
