People learning to play jazz rush the eight note. Particularly if there is a rest on the down beat. Use this metronome to play along with omnibook and be sure to line EVERY note up with the metronome. Don't rush!

Based on my understanding, he shows good engagement with the mood & nuances of the music by varying the style, size, pattern, and heaviness of his beats and also engages well with the musical voices via changing facial expression, eye contact, and cuing, this is very impressive for such a young man.
