That ending really plays with my mind. I love it when sound is applied to create the next moment of impact, not always the visuals. Best video essay that I have come across on this film so far...subbed ....this felt like a spiritual experience. My mind's blown.

That is equality though. It's just not equity. The women bring in more views than the men, so they deserve more pay. It's the opposite in the sports world. The men bring in more views than the women so they get more pay. The pay is proportional to the amount of money you bring in for the industry. That rule is true regardless of race, sex, or religion. It's meritocracy, which is equality. Inequality would be equity, where men get paid the same as women despite being wildly less profitable. Can you imagine if the WNBA got paid the same as the NBA? What sense would that make when the WNBA is literally costing the organization money every year?

This film is one of those introspective, delicate visions of the most hidden emotional part of human beings. Revealing their true self is hard and the nouvelle vague of the 60s in France and Italy, Hong Kong of the 90s and the Korean wave of these kind of indie films, are the ones i love. Story, acting, art, lingering feelings, reflection of oneself, small humans in a big big universe. Very existential i would say. That's why i love this kind of movies and these actors were right for their roles in this film.

@9:42 - it's partially on point but there are plenty of multi-millionaires and billionaires who support "left wing" politicians and 'progressive' causes, think tanks, non-profit foundations, etc.

"Everyone is equal but me first" "-because if i dont cover my own ass its not like someone would give up their own for me" Is the root of the issue, selfish people create more selfish people, because to be a giver surrounded by selfish people is giving yourself to the wolves

I have meet some people from the upper upper class and you’d be surprised how accurate the film portraits some of them. Recently a girl I know bragged about how she and her friends tipped the luggage man at a fancy hotel eight coffee beans after making his job as hard as possible and laughing about it during and after the fact. It’s wild, but it also seems like this kind of entitlement opens the doors to easy money. They regularly loan and gift each other money at tiny interest and as taxable expense. I litteraly saw a woman that felt insecure for an investor meeting annoy the investor so much he remotely bought her 200€ shoes. She had broken the shows two weeks after she got them. It is complete insanity.

I dont agree with interpretation in many ways slavic countries are female domintated and less sexist then uk

Excellent insights. I wonder if “Blow Up” even refers to the photographs… Antonioni was too philosophical to have such a straightforward, conventional title, I think. Perhaps what is “blown up“ is our perception of the dividing line between art fantasy and reality. Seems like all the characters have issues discerning the difference in this film. Perhaps the Director’s whole point is the audience does, as well.

Why is the narrator talking so slow?? Are we supposed to just know to put the playback speed to 2X

One Impression in the end of the Movie made me to like it finally. The fact, as it occured to me at least, that even Abigail is not a good person, let alone a 'Saint'. So there is some Equality there. 😉😎

I thought the staff meeting with the ship crew was interesting. It’s the same model capitalism uses to keep poor people working. Trickle down economics. If you work hard for me for long enough maybe you will get a tip. Of course this is a lie and like I said it’s to brain wash poor people to be subservient and working forever

I was relieved when JS called her out for taking her clothes off because finally someone showed they have some boundaries of what they can tolerate. JS and Hae-mi are both using each other, there's no actual love there. They are both using each other for validation.
