What’s your favourite sunrise or sunset?
I have a 1981 xl185s im working on, any tips? And where did you get your parts?
They’re such easy bikes to work on! Pretty hard to mess it up. Thankfully In New Zealand we have a few vintage motorcycle spare part shops but you can also get everything you’ll need from partzilla or eBay. Good luck with the build!
@Saltyybeard Yeah I heard about a place called Musket Mufflers over there, glad you guys have parts for old gems! I already use partzilla and ebay, I'll have to check if i have any similar shops. Ride safe out there, God bless you
@ yeah we’re pretty lucky over here! There’s actually a lot of aftermarket parts on AliExpress for these bikes too! Not sure how good they’d be 😅 but if you can’t find certain oem parts that could be an option.. thanks for reaching out! 🤙

Not trying to be a Debbie downer here but all you did was paint the frame and the kickstand and the foot pegs i wouldn't call that a restoration

@ I did more than just paint the frame. Not only did I strip the frame to bare metal and start from scratch, I replaced the sprockets, chain, cables, grips, fork boots, handlebars and almost every nut and bolt. I wanted to keep things as original as possible and I didn’t film every aspect of the project but I promise I’ll do better next time for you and Deb 🤙

Thank you! These photos definitely have a nostalgic look sooc. But my Lightroom film emulation presets definitely bring these images to life which are available for purchase via the link on this video! I shoot everything in raw and keep it on AP most of the time 😊 enjoy your camera!
