Truly Sara is one of my inspirations. So is Tegan! But Saras songs are pretty sad and always seem to fit into my life. Especially my 6th grade year. Sara is such a strong person to share so much (same with Tegan). It's amazing to see her grown and come out. This song is definitely a favorite. Oh how I love them.

Well, to preface this, I am older and I've only been aware of you guys for about 6 months. I like the early music much better, because it is better. I think Tegan wrote The First, and that's a very good song. Hello is good and I don't think it's even on a cd. Just me, is also much better than what you guys are doing now. ----And Sara, you need to relax and try not to take yourself so seriously. Put some of that early stuff on a compilation disc and voila!

Thanks. I'm not unhappy, I'm just not particularly happy. Emptiness in any capacity is a hard one to fix. Its not really at all about being single (I've proved to myself I do that quite well). Lifes hard and that's that, ya know? It will always be something. But thank you for your well wishes, I certainly hope this streak ends sooner than later.

I wonder, quite habitually, if I can't fix/remedy/solve the problem of general unhappiness, who/what will it take? I appreciate that your obliging me in self-indulgent conversation though. :)

She laugh/smiles/jokes about it, and cliche as it may sound, I know all too well what its like to be generally unhappy for 3 years straight (going into my third year of it). Not a great space to be in, in spite of much to be thankful/happy about. I definitely know what its like to cry multiple times a day...for a long time. I wonder what helped pull her out of it...
