      En Passent, meaning: If a pawn moves 2 squares, in the first following turn, the opponent can treat it as if it had only moved 1square when attempting to capture with a pawn.

    this game white still have a chance to win, if black blunder or mistake or white perfect moves after that

    • @The_Nizz
      @The_Nizz Месяц назад

      obviously, any game can be won if the opponent blunders or makes mistakes. That's not the point of puzzles though. Point of puzzles is to make the best moves possible in the moment to end up in an as good as possible position.

    I would say that making the sacrifice is only really worth considering if you can find the checkmate as follow up. When you say something like "making a trade of rooks" you sound really silly and condescending. Even low elo players realize a sacrifice shouldn't be followed by just trading off the remaining pieces for nothing.

    • @The_Nizz
      @The_Nizz Месяц назад

      tbf, simplifying the board in an endgame rarely is bad (assuming you still keep enough pieces to checkmate), even if it would be just a trade.

    • @adamfurlong4979
      @adamfurlong4979 Месяц назад

      Yeah, of course trading is a good idea when you have a material advantage. However in this situation you don't. Moot point.

    if you went Qg1 to defend checkmate, black would just take the h pawn and take the knight on the next play with the rook , that is why sacrificing your queen is the best and only move.

    I would have gone for e5 rather than Qxc3 first which I think would have gone down like this: e5, Qe2, exd4, cxd4 and so on... Our Queen on c7 protects Bishop on e7. Can you explain why the move order I mentioned was not the solution?

    • @The_Nizz
      @The_Nizz 3 месяца назад

      e5 gets met by Rc4, leading to a queen trade with an opposing rook on 7th, which isn't ideal Qe2 also achieves nothing since the "open" bishop is still covered by the black queen so I can't see why they would do that.
