i know this video is around 4 months old, but you really should;ve rented a car and gone outside of the cape town area...... there are far better places to see outside the main metro and you could of avoided "trendoid central" camps bay.... llundudno / hout bay / chapmans peak / kalk bay / misty cliffs / gordons bay / Clarence drive from gordons bay to bettys bay / kirstenbosch / langebaan / west coast national park / cape point nature reserve / etc

There are two oceans in the Cape area actually...Atlantic and Indian. Muizenberg beach lies on the Indian Ocean, while Camps Bay beach is on the Atlantic....and hence the Two Oceans Marathon 🙂

There are such wonderful walking trails on Table Mountain. Lovely Micro Brewery beers. They also have special functions up on Table Mountain. You need to go to all the lookout points to see the spectacular views from different sides of the mountain - Table Mountain is breathtaking. If you cannot appreciate it then I don't know .... take-away rubbish food .... go to nice restaurants, food markets, wine farms ... so much to do.

If only there was a McDonalds on Table Mountain 😂 If you want history and pedigree. Head to Robben Island, Constantia, Stellenbosch or Paarl. If you want natural beauty, Lion’s Head, Strand, Stellenbosch or Paarl. All for mountain views, Strand for bay and mountains. Interestingly, Nelson Mandela was imprisoned on the island you saw from table mountain. Also you need to ensure you get to view table mountain from Bloubergstrand. Its a 20min drive from where you stay. That will help you understand why it is a natural wonder(spoiler alert, it’s completely flat at the too from that perspective).

McDonald's in SA is like eating cardboard.....Steers, Burger King, Spur, are the franchise places to eat. And Robben Island was a prison so i suggest reading up on it....Just a suggestion i recommend finding a happy traveler to travel with you as you are wasting your money traveling and not enjoying places....you complaining about all the tourists doing tourist things.....BUT look at yourself you are exactly the same A TOURIST. This is not to be nasty it is just constructive criticism and it is great to see you showcasing our country, but please read up about where you going next and get insight about it so you can enjoy it or maybe you will find it is not for you before you go and you can do something about it a choose another place.....No use coming to our country and finding it is not for you......Botswana is going to give you wildlife and Zimbabwe is just about the Victoria falls and that's it and watch out and take great care in Zimbabwe. SA has very accurate and transparent crime stats which makes it apoear more dangerous than many countries who don't have stats across Africa, Asia and South America... i felt much more unsafe in India and even parts of London. (By the way the crime stats are due to gang on gang violence in very specific areas)

Hi Andy. Lots to do and see in Cape Town. The island you saw is called Robben Island. Google it. The pirate ship you saw is also an attraction. You seemed quite bored to be honest. But the most beautiful scenery is actually outside of the Cape. You’re stuck in the City.

There are locals who walk from there all the way to Constantia Neck along the ridge ... 20kms. So they dont buy the return ticket

It's the Atlantic ocean. Indian Ocean only starts at Cape Agulhas. So if you go to the Garden Route (for example) you will be on the Indian. But never in Cape Town.

Capetonian local here. If you want to avoid the "touristy" table mountain experience, there are many beautiful hiking trails that take you from the bottom to the top. Been great watching your experience here. You got yourself a new subscriber.

Make sure you stick to populated area's. Visit Cape of Good Hope, winelands, Table Mountain, trip around the peninsula, Hout Bay, V&A Waterfront are a few ideas, seafood and fish in Hout Bay is the best also visit places like Muizenberg and Kalk Bay as well as Cape Point. You were also very lucky that someone asked you too leave that area.

If you go to a grocery store with a deli counter and bread or crackers complaining about not finding food is for dramatic effect. When we travel my go to casual meals are at bakeries or small stores with a deli counter, restaurants for the big meal for the day.
