And he sacrifices ... THE ROOOOK
GothamChess fan, I see.
For those who dont know: If we promote to a queen it will be a stalemate
Why knight e2 is not better since it forces the queen to take then you can take the queen ? At the end you're still up with the rook since you only sacrifice the knight
Exactly! 🎉 Came for this comment. Am I missing something?
@hohonuts i guess we both are, since i asked to several places and everyone just ignored me :(
@@meldyluova3340got it - because one is an instant checkmate, while the other is not. Took me a while to realize though 😅
@@hohonuts oohohhhhhhhh yeah you're right. Glad we managed to undersrand that lmao
Why move the pawn to g6 first instead of just d7?
That's what I'm also trying to figure out
Qxg7#
Qxg7#
:/
F5 horse ?
Sorry I meant bishop
That rook sacrifice was unnecessary, no?
Tempo on the queen. If you did pawn c5 first then the queen isn’t in danger and you can prevent mate pretty easily. But because the queen is hanging then it forces the opponent to make a choice, either lose the queen or get mated
In a nutshell, its either suffer the entire game (lose queen) or just lose quicker (mate).
@@EggSandwhichKing yeah
If he had moved the pawn first, the opponent would have blocked with Knight to e5 which would be protected by the rook, but by sacrificing the Bishop he makes the opponent chose between losing the queen and checkmate
Just solved that😂
Oh my god thanks this is such a common position now I know what to do
I did this puzzle to
I did this puzzle yesterday
you will stalemated the game if you choose queen.
Firstly, how why the heck would you put the king there off the other plane is a rock or a queen And speaking about that Secondly why a rock you could have just chosen queen Literally no dif
Queen = stalemate cuz queen will remove the last possible move the black king can make, but since rook doesn't move diagonally it won't remove the move, so it will not be stalemate if you promote to a rook
firstly, this is a puzzle not a real game Second, promoting to a queen makes black unable to move any pieces therefore making a stalemate and third, can you actually learn how to play chess before commenting?
Stupid me wondering why it makes a difference if you promote to queen or rook
Yes, cuz if he promotes to a queen it's stalemate!!!
@@MH-nl8zzisn’t it stalemate anyways?
Why is it stalemate?@@MH-nl8zz
@@LXSLight no? in the video he checkmated? Ka5 is forced Ka4 is forced Ra6 is mate
bro i was confused when doing this puzzle earlyer
The Pawn: Oh Hi There
Its goes opposite way
Bro tottaly didn't tale 10+ retries just to solve this💀
it took me 1 try cause I have seen puzzles like these every nanosecond
Must have been a wild night out to wake up to this position
Chess.com really took "This is definitely a realistic position" to a whole new level.
Kn8ght any2here just DONT threathin the queen king has to move g8 then queen e6 then has to be g7
Bruh! Daily puzzle
Yeah, I know. This short just shows the solution for the daily Puzzle. The title is the name for the daily Puzzle.
Noob 😂😂noob pro 😂❤😂😂noob
can anybody tell me why B7..Ke7 isnt the move of the computer???? he walks into the fork
Well if Bxc7 and if king takes bishop then knight to d5 fork Same if king doesn't take bishop and goes to e7 same as before knight to d5 fork
@@whitefanglisted thats why im 950 rated xDD ty
Basically, every legal move for the black king leads to a fork. However, kc7 atleast wins a Bishop while ke7 doesn't win anything. So, kc7 is the better move.

Yes, it is!
How do u gwt the icon pop up when u move a piece
Trash hahaha loser you ar worst gamer i ever seen
I did same problem
Why is D3 force the queen up?
It doesn't force it up, theres just nothing that black can do. No matter where black's queen goes, there is a checkmate and the king cant move, and if he pushes the pawn, Qd1 is mate
Jajaja eso lo hice ayer
Moving king instead of taking the bishop with the rook would've saved black
Rxh7#
@@anapaulahenriques563 Oh yeah thanks for telling us that I didn't realise that was mate 😅
Whats the explanation for sacrificing the rook?
Basically, sacrificing the rook puts the white pawn on the same file as the black pawn so that no matter what the white rook does, the black pawn cannot be stopped from promotion.
