Interesting story, but full of holes. The school board meeting would have been a closed meeting. A school board can not transfer employees to another district, they are independent. What would probably happen would be for the two to be placed on administrative leave until the end of the year, and their contract would not be renewed. Teachers rarely ever leave mid year, he would be breaking his contract, and that would effect any future recommendations. The administrators would have to find some under qualified person to finish out the remaining part of the year in his position. How would the administrators of the out of state magnet school know about him? It is not like they had even gone to the national competition yet.

Why is it so difficult to act like adult when your wife cheat on you? You have 2 grown children and their future that you still should feel responsible for and you act like a psychopath and destroy the whole family. After 30 years of marriage you have two choices if your wife cheat on you. Accept it and let her have her short time freedom to experience a flick of youth or you could simple divorce her and take adult decisions about beeing good parents and grand parents. But this?
