There is no objective truth in the sense 2+2 = 4 because it is meaningless without a moral agent and indeed, equations do not exist without a sentient creator. All social issues come down to one single factor, freeloading. Eliminate that and you have a utopia. Although most atheists don't tend to believe in supernatural events, the two are not necessarily mutually exclusive. My mother, for example, used to be a Christian. She lost her faith in God but still believes mediums can communicate with the dead. I don't think her belief is rational, but that's what she believes: she is an atheist who believes in supernatural events. If you are trying to build an argument on this topic, making such a basic error early on is fatal to the whole endeavour.

@apriorianvideos9829 I can provide examples of people who do not believe in any gods yet believe in other non-material things. That is quite easy to do, and can do upon request. My claim is that atheism, not believing in gods, does not require materialism, the belief that is that exists is material. That is amazingly simple to demonstrate.

I think the real sticking point is not spirituality/supernatural vs materialism/naturalism. I think it is telological vs stochastic. Does everything happen as a result of volition or is it all random with patterns?

That was an interesting contradiction. I am just not sure of which position of yours I ought to answer. You open with the claim there is no such thing as free will. Well, either you are a liar or a fool. Either you are making a free will claim or you are such a fool you are stating something you have no choice in. Then you contradict the contradiction by resorting to logic which tells you there are only two options. So you have free will to make any judgement but the logic of reality only gives you two choices. You talk of indeterminism next, but you do not give the context. Of course there is indeterminism in a causal reality in which everything is caused otherwise you could not explain the level of chaos in your perfectly causal reality. But QM tells us everything is random which proves you cannot possibly be rational. And then you pull out the coup de grace of evolution, because if we all evolved then of course nothing in the past matters unless we say it does. But then what do we expect from someone who logically concludes reality is something or anything other than logical and all knowledge comes anywhere but from information But that is the a posteriori way. SO experiment your way out of that with your machine mind that is both perfectly ordered and perfectly disordered because your entire being is a contradiction.

Sometime the less one assumes they know the easier it is to answer a question. Think of it this way. God created reality called Eden. It is perfect, we rebelled againsts its parameters and so ended up in the wilderness of our own ideas. We are to manifest or realize reality but it is a reality that exists. Perhaps another way of seeing it is trying to find the value of PI. Its a real value, we might not know what it is and we might only approximate it but there is a value and a reality which we need to find. The good thing is all we need to do is cease trying to take a short cut, ie stop being parasites and pay our way. But most humans are far too smart to think they need to be honest all of the time.
