I sewed my own costume this year as well. I made a bonnet and apron out of random scraps I had laying around and it was so much fun 😊 definitely doing it again next year instead of giving the big box stores any more of my money. 💰
"I made my son one too and he didn't want to wear it but that's okay." Is so relatable. 🤣❤️ My daughters demanded to be ghosts this year so we did the bedsheet thing. Halloween day comes and the youngest suddenly hates costumes in general and the oldest prefers her costume from last year (spider) which was luckily made to put over her jacket last year so this year it still fit her without a jacket. 😁👍
Thank you so much! I tried this before, but I made a horrible mess because I just ran the thread through. I didn't know about changing tension and pulling by hand. Im so happy to know how to do it and get it to work!!!!
I reuse different pieces from other costumes to make new ones! I've managed to get 3 out of 1 dress. Making your own and adding a Lil pazaz on it makes you feel soo much better about it!
Very cute, sustainable, comfortable and timeless! ❤ great job! Totally agree, don’t buy a cheap costume just to wear it once, think how you can rewear it/restyle it for other occasions.
Love the clown costumes, the fabrics are so fun! I did Tim Curry’s Pennywise a few years ago from thrifted things I sewed and now I stuffed the costume so he can haunt my car as a decoration. Also, I’ve been using the same ghost and witch decorations I made from trash bags for 5 years👀 I’m nothing if not thrifty when it comes to Halloween, I love the challenge! 😆🙌
LOVE This!!! ❤❤❤
That’s so smart 🥰 I will have to do that if I ever learn to sew 🥲

I normally stay away from any corn but I have to say this is the cutest clown costume I have ever seen 👏🏼👏🏼
LOVE the crochet top and floral pants girl ❤
Who in their right mind would criticize reusing a vintage item? What better use than that?
Beautiful ❤🎉
You guys look amazing!! Inspiring to me too, I really wanna get better at sewing to do stuff just like this
Cuuute!
Cuteee!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
I envy those who can create things like this. I'm impressed!
Same!!! People can be so creative :DD (also, love ur PFP!!)
It is from the 1970s so the clown is different on the front but it's still cool
Maybe like a trigger warning when there's gonna be clowns. Some of us have that phobia
There’s clown hashtags, a clown emoji, and I say in the voiceover that I’m making a clown costume before it’s shown
THOSE ATEE ❤❤
