I say it this way, could I say to my wife I want you to be my wife but I still want to sleep with other women. Would she accept that? The will of God is simply stated in John 6:40-Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. How can we love God by changing our mind…by giving Him our trust by accepting the terms and conditions for salvation that He laid out and completely letting go of any notion of control that we have over it. By putting God over our own pride. Loving our neighbor is a part of sanctification, not salvation.

Everybody commenting here clearly isn’t listening to what Steve is saying. He is professing a FALSE gospel. Look, I don’t make a determination about the sincerity of a professing believer’s faith based upon their works or behavior. I think there are drunks and harlots who are going to be in Heaven because they trust Christ. The Bible says that. But those people at least profess the correct gospel. The words coming out of this man’s mouth tell on him. “Out of the heart the mouth speaketh…”. He’s telling us what he believes, and it isn’t the Biblical Gospel of Grace. I’m not saying he appears to be unsaved because he had an affair. I’m saying he appears to be unsaved because he believes in a works-based gospel, and that’s what John is saying too.

I don't agree with his definition for repentance. I believe repentance is just a change of mind.
