Agreed but unfortunately these waves have been documented since the early 90's so its no secret anymore. Luckily there are still some spots off the radar.

@@photobossbali Ive been surfing this wave uncrowded for years. I was the only one staying on the beach many times. Many camps started this year, so this year it fell off the cliff. I am glad I had it to myself, but no need to film the quality of the wave because it can't handle more than 8 people.

Hello Rich, yes since COVID the Mentawai's are a different place. With all the land camps in the north the majority of charters are now operating in that southern region. 2022/23 we seen a 65% increase of surfers arriving in Minangkabau airport. Still some quite areas and its not done yet but its scary to think what will happen there the next 10 years.
