Absolutely beautiful! You cannot tell masks are being worn!

I really enjoyed listening to this. The sound of the choir is really lovely. But singing in masks is literally the stupidest thing I've ever witnessed !! Whose brilliant idea is this? It makes no damn sense scientifically !?

I ran across the Musica Russica site while looking for Russian sacred choral music. I dearly love the music but the language barrier is a problem for those of us who speak only English. I think this beautiful music could be a blessing to many more worshipers if English editions were available. Are there any such resources in existence or in the works currently? -mike

Excellent. There's nothing I like better than to pick apart a choir's performance-but I hear nothing I can criticize. I'm really surprised. Not your typical evangelical sound. I'd like to hear them in a big resonant building--they'd be even better.

I've heard the choir at the 24th Béla Bartók's International Choir Competition in Debrecen here in Hungary. they have very good voices. Good luck for the future!

Perhaps the finest women's choir today! Find their recordings and enjoy them! Maria was a pupil of Adele Marcus for piano--you can hear the sound she gets from the choir. They also performed some of my music--I am indeed grateful for that honor!

i agree with my bass friend rob.. very very sad day.. i think we were all depressed to hear that the performance would be canceled due to the weather, which really wasn't a big deal..in bham at least.

As a member of this group, I'm pretty sure we knew what we were singing about. "Der Geist hilft unser Schwachheit auf" can be interpreted many ways, and I'm sure our conductor's interpretation was appropriate, especially considering our rival group that year was Yale's Schola Cantorum. Also, please be aware that there are 5 errors in spelling and grammar in your two "sentence" rant. I almost couldn't "understand what the text said" ;)
