Where does the thread spool have to be positioned above the machine? Please show the whole machine too.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge :) Learned some thing new today :) I have a Singer 212W140 double needle without this safety mechanism, but the other Singer 145W204 long arm has this safety mechanism. Both have walking foot.

Can you help with a problem I have with a Juki LU 563? The clutch does not re-engage the main shaft after resetting the clutch ( I cannot sew). I have tried pressing the right button while turning the belt drive wheel, in the opposite direction ( away from the sewer) according to the instruction manual. The wheel seems to be locked when pressing the button and does not correct the problem. In addition the the stitch length mechanism disengages the clutch each time I try to change the stitch length. Thank you in advance.

I've sewn on nearly a hundred different home sewing machines and was having problems with my thread coming out of the check spring area on my Singer 111w... you helped me realize unneeded to click the thread up under that finger area. Thank you!!

Do you have any idea where to get the screw that goes in the curved piece that you took the set screw out of in order to tighten the clutch. The one that adjust the play in it I have the 111 any info would help alot

You should do a video with it on the machine and show the whole threading process including the bobbin. I just got a 211u567b and must b doing something wrong bcuz my first stitch by hand is hanging up.

Wonderful, very well explained. Tanks a lot, should improve drammatically the quality of the stitchings :D I also figured I'm apparently missing the screw that's keeping the "great mystery" (as you call it) from rotating all around on its own. Bugger.
