Make sure you get a generator with a UNIT REPLACEMENT WARRANTY. Should you have a major issue in the warranty period, youll get a new generator.

This generator had a 10 Year Parts and Labor Warranty and we had no issues from Generac getting a new engine and Generac paid the entire bill on the repair. The customer had a $0 Cost.

It was burning through a lot of oil, anytime it would kick on it would spew a lot of smoke through the exhaust. Following the diagnostic flow chart in the Generac manual, we performed a valve adjustment and performed a compression test. The generator failed the compression test. We spoke to Generac tech support and they said to replace the engine, there is an internal issue with the piston rings.
