Watching my son drive the tractor I fell in love with when I was younger is an amazing sight.

My son Dyllon and my nephew Jayden helping out with island chores this week. We all had a blast and look forward to any future trips. Thumbnail is of me at 18 driving the same tractor back in 2000 🤙

Taken from the highest point on Penikese. Cistern Hill sits about 70' above sea level. Has two brick cisterns dating back to the late 19th century. Used to hold salt water that would then be gravity fed down to laboratory aquariums for a school of nature. Taken August 5th 2024 4:45pm-8:45pm using my old iPhone and a makeshift tripod. Mowing this special cemetery located on Penikese Island. In the early 20th century Massachusetts established an isolation colony for people with leprosy (Hansens Disease). Those who died were buried and forgotten by most. Well the video didn’t auto correct like I hoped. But this is what a sunrise and world looks like as I suffer from a severe astigmatism along with other eye problems. Looking forward to driving using only the force as my guide, just like the old days 😎
