It seems there are almost no tourists at this time. Nearly all nationals. And a lot of sargossum. Also, the 1st half of the video is flipped. I guess to make it look like an unbroken walk in spite of being in two directions. ?

@@lucidwalks6683 The hurricane. I've heard multiple locals comment that their was beach loss due to the storms it kicked up, and I'm now seeing it in your's and other videos (though I know Altra area was bad before).

This has been very helpful! We always stay in Tulum & are going in a few weeks but I was planning on staying in Playa for our last 3 nights to be closer to the airport. I'm not good with crowds or noise so this video may change my mind and if I do decide to stay, I'll be staying at the end of the beach at the start of this video - much quieter. Also, glad to see the water is so clear. Hopefully, it stays that way!
Great choice! Tulum is a lovely experience, but Playa always wins on convenience and there are plenty of quiet spots there!
