I've never heard a sadder song
The main groove is a sampled and speeded up version of Lee Alfred's song Rockin, Poppin, Full Tilting with the Gladys Knight Neither one of us sample. Danny Arnold Productional is not the right word. I mean the arrangement of the various loops. It sounds like he just threw it together, and he thought, this sounds good, let's release it. On the one hand that's good because one can get stuck in accepting when it's good enough to release, but I think he could have given it some more work, and then it would have been gold, in my eyes. By the way, doesn't this track have an official video?
I was thinking the same. The beginning is just to long without any change. He could introduce that voice much earlier for example.
I think all of the 'messiness' is very, very intentional and adds a great deal of beauty to the track. The differences in the tone and quality of the kick throughout really come to life on a big sound system.

no sampling that I know of. It's a song by a guy called kode9 but very much inspired by Mr glass. I just put the video on top of his tune, no credit due lol
