Normally to get the quick change badge while going through toad town you will at some point see Merlon sitting outside his house, and once you talk to him you have to follow his instructions, which will eventually lead to you spin jumping in his house 3 times.

5:55 Fun fact: This game doesn’t have a post game. The only way to get out of the end screen is by powering off the system. The last save block is right before the final boss fight, and the game doesn’t save your victory over Bowser because again, there’s no post game.
