May I ask how you find my channel ?
THAT WAS AMAZING 🎉 You have great talent😊
Thank you so much 😀
Thank You :)))))
Thank you for tuning in !
This must have taken you a mountain of time 😊
It took about 2 hours in total over a period of 3 days . Thanks for noticing 🙏
@@faciodesignreal I like to make this kind of work, but man it always takes me forever. Thank you.
That’s awesome, feel free to share some of your work !
Beautiful, thanks for the tutorial!
Glad you like it! 🙏
Good video but this video's sound is very low. You need to make sure your audio levels are higher. Watching on a MacBook Pro and at 90% volume it's just about audible. Please take this as a suggestion, great work though, highly insightful. :)
Thank you for the input , I will make sure to export with better audio mix next time . Thank you for the feedback 🙏
Hey pal, I just wanna say thank you for your videos. I just discovered your channel. I'm a CGI & Motion Designer and I've been working for a couple of years now. Thing is, I was formed in Animation, not Design. And I'm finding that this, actually diving into Graphic Design, is ABSOLUTELY necessary if you want to have quality work. Even the simples of animations can work beautifully with a solid and intentional design. Again, thank you. I'll be around your channel a lot from now on.
👋 hello , thank you for the encouraging words . I’m glad the information has been helpful to your journey . Funny thing is , I also began my career in another field ( video production) and quickly realized concepts like hierarchy, rule of thirds , use of grids , etc. are just as important. I began to study graphic design just to supplement my knowledge but it quickly became my main field of study and I haven’t changed since . Anyway, thanks 🙏 again .
cool idea and they look cool as well!
Thank you 🙏 I’m about to upload a book review of the book Show Your Work by Austin Kleon . Please check it out 🙏
It's an absolutely underrated channel, Hope you can get more views.
Thank you , comments like these help a 🙏
wow!!! love your channel
Thanks 🙏 glad its helpful
cool
🙏
You made a typographic error in your title. The phrase is *not* “Typographic systems.” The phrase you’re looking for is “Grid systems.” As in “Grid systems in graphic design: A visual communication manual for graphic designers, typographers and three dimensional designers.” Check out Josef Müller-brockmann. The only reason any of us are talking about this is because JMB did it first.
I understand, thank you for the advice. My title is based on typographic systems by kimberly elam. You should check it out .
This just expanded my repertoire in so many ways ⚔️
I’m glad it was helpful! 🙏
Eagle Boys Pizza was an Australian pizza chain that shut down in 2017.

02:15 “There is extensive research that different colors can invoke certain emotions...” I think that statement misrepresents the existing data. It is true that colors invoke some emotional reaction. But the examples are related to the concept of “color psychology” which is about colors being able to invoke SPECIFIC emotions. I believe it to be complete nonsense, and I will try to prove it now. Let's look at the data (the easiest study to find for me now is the one done by Jonauskaite D, Abu-Akel A, Dael N, from 2020): Understandably, it's just a survey of color-association type. The weakest link is purple for “pleasure” (25%), and the strongest - black for “sadness” (51%) and red for “love” (68%). Let's follow the strongest link - red. The study shows that across 30 different countries the color is culturally associated with love. Your slide however suggests that red stands for both love and aggression. Examples include Target, CNN, Coca-Cola, and Netflix. None of them point to aggression. The earlier example of the movie poster could point to aggression or rather some danger and intrigue. We use red in interfaces for warnings, cancellation, etc. And yet Neflix, RUclips and other platforms use the color with no second thoughts on the danger of highlighting the sense of stopping, cancelling, etc. What works instead: (1) colors appropriate to the product category, the certain cultural and contextual circumstances; (2) colors that make you stand out among competitors (red Target, blue-yellow Walmart, green Whole Foods).
You bring up some great points . I should have worded my script more carefully. I appreciate the input and time you took to pull up the research .
Not gonna lie, your thumbnail was quite catchy. Keep it up.
Appreciate it! 🙏
Another great lesson. Ty
Glad you enjoyed it 🙏
thanks for this video ! :)
Thank you for tuning in 🙏 I have similar theory videos on my channel. Please check them out.
+1 for using At the Drive-In for your example

🙏 thank you , I’ll be dropping one this weekend . Please stick around .
Really nice to have all of these systems in 1 video for easy reference for my designs. Great content.
Glad it was helpful!
thank you!
You're welcome! 🙏
Been a designer for over a decade and this is such a great explanation. You’ve clearly tried a lot of different video approaches, and this format really shines, glad this video is being recommended to more people. Wish you lots of success! ☀️
Wow, thank you!🙏 I did notice that my theory videos get more traffic and that’s something I’ve been focusing on on my later videos .
I hope there weren't any airports close around...
Sorry , I don’t follow .
Love it, super straightforward and concise
Thanks 🙏
This isn’t really about typography tho…
I’m sorry you feel that way
Amazing!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you so much ... I was going nuts for details ... For my assignment on book design !!! ❤❤❤ Can you make a video of how to select fonts in details? That would be helpful..
What does your assignment require ? Yes I have a list of videos in the works . This topic has been added to the list . Thank you for tuning in 🙏
@@faciodesignreal it's a collection of surface design patterns based a particular geographical area for industrial design (metal based , engraving technique) but I don't want it to be simply a collection of pattern as it lacks information about behind the story about that geographical area . In a nutshell, I want this book design to be beyond the editorial design .. it should incorporate emotional design and ux principles as we are approaching this book design as a product design with hardcore research. It would be an image dominated book incorporating a lot of inspiration boards after each topic with adequate text (not text heavy) . It's more like a trend analysis book !
@@Puja..M That sounds instightful, please keep me updated, I would like to buy a copy once it is published.
Hey man, where is this used professionally? And how do you charge clients? (according to experience, per hour or what) Btw your channel is really good.
I do mostly commission work for private individuals or businesses. I don’t like charging by the hour because after many years of experience you will eventually learn how to create designs fast and what you should be charging for is your experience. But if you feel more confident charging by hour , make sure you include the process. For example : brainstorming, sketching, digitizing/vectorizing, revisions, etc . Lately I’ve been charging a monthly fee for a set amount of designs and that guarantees a more stable income . I hope this helps ! Thank you for tuning in 🙏
Great video! I love that it's calm and you don't try to lure in with some misleading title. Thank you!
I appreciate that! 🙏
Sir many thanks ❤
You’re most welcome 🙏
For the first time in my life I understand the Typography really thank you ❤
Hey I’m glad to hear that , please check out my other typography theory videos on my channel.
