The game has had power combos for a long time that seem game breaking, like my favorite 1v1 or multiplayer combo, Mortuary + Harvester + Blood pet to set up Tendrils to wipe the board with storm. You can also add Ogre Slumlords and Forbidden Rituals for secondary win with dorks fetch and return, Crypt ghast is a nice add as to not have to rely on the Dark Rituals hitting for faster unlim conditions. I can usually set up the storm faster than they can do 20 damage, but over running with unlimited death touch rats is also fun lol

COre set stuff will always be welcomed, as long as there is a balance to the prints. The game died when the Cracked series led to all the movie and pop culture tie in sets. MTG was best 90s to 2018

you can absolutely sleeve the cards! Sleeve Kings has a 127mm x 153mm size that works well, just fold the excess and tape it to the backside of the card to make it square

Avalon Hill's Hasbro Pulse failed due to poor marketing of the reboot not because of the price, you got tons of terrain and figures through Avalon Hill and now Renegade games is selling it all piecemeal and the master set alone is $250. Renegade will be selling two total waves of product that Avalon Hill was including in all one purchase.
