Just the opinion of one American: 1) Apartment rental: I've moved a lot in my career, mostly to fairly expensive places and the most I've paid is under $2000 a month. However, a larger or more luxurious place in a major city could easily hit $3000. Your mileage will vary considerably. If I were quoted a price like that I'd keep looking. Thousands of dollars for "food prep" and $250 for groceries is not realistic at all. As you know, the whole point of the sketch is "this guy is an idiot with money" so don't take it too seriously. Thing is there's no upper limit to a lot of this. You can get a nice watch for maybe $100; if you want to spend $1000 on a watch you absolutely can; if you're a saturation diver and you want a wrist dive computer with helium vent you could drop ten thousand, easily. 2) "Interact." DSP uses words oddly and inappropriately at times. Typically, I'd say "My wife and I needed to talk" instead of "I had to interact with my wife." His word choice isn't really "wrong" here but I agree it sounds a little odd. 3) "Take care of her" covers a very broad spectrum. It could be as little as "I check to see she's okay and doesn't need anything" or as much as actually performing the duties of a nurse. 4) "My --- is killing me" is typically a slightly comical exaggeration. If someone at work said their throat was killing them I'd encourage them to go home to bed and offer them a lozenge; I would not call an ambulance or assume they were seriously ill. It's a common phrase, and much more trivial than it sounds. 5) He should have left that bit of rib for the cat. 6) He touches his foot and keeps eating? Ew. I mean, living alone you can slide into some icky habits, but... 7) "Extended family" is a common phrase and basically means "everyone I'm related to." "My sister" is my immediate family; "my grandfather's brother's adopted daughter's kid" is extended family. Phil gets and deserves a lot of flak for dismissing having kids. Lots of people don't have kids and I suspect nobody would make fun of him if he called his wife his family and omitted Jasper.

I don’t think the bank statements are fake. Someone guessed or phished his password because people were calling his bank (Bank of America, I think) and getting his transaction history. If it was totally fake Phil would have never cried about it, claimed to have been hacked, or consulted a lawyer. He tried to have it both ways and claim he was hacked and someone gained access to his account but also that it wasn’t his account. Sure Phil.

8:00 I think what makes it seem real is how ridiculous the odds are that someone managed to not only synch up so many "fake" transactions to events in WWE champions , managing to make transactions from stores local to Phil look legitimate, and even having the skill to make it look like a real statement from Phil's bank. There's so much to it , that it would take a really skilled detractor to be able to do all of this, just to slander Phil (which you don't even need to do since he does it himself). But what makes it lean towards real is Phil's reaction to the bank leak, he said that someone hacked into his bank account around the time the leak happened, but claimed the account leaked wasn't his so his fans wouldn't question the purchases on the account.

When you don't have a lot going on in your life completing very simple tasks can be held as extreme accolades. This rubs me so wrong because DSP is holding these nothing burgers like a child's first drawings.

I mean i 100% agree but DSP isnt the only one There are tons of people online who complain of depression but will hang around places like tiktok, RUclips and twitch. Places not suited for people in a bad place. Unlike those people tho, Phil is getting money on top of money while being in said place. So he has no incentive to change. Also i dont think a lot of people online that say they have depression, have depression. There's a massive difference in depression and being sad. I think Phil wakes up somedays and genuinely gets sad that he could've had a better life. But its just that, him being sad.
