    That looks like it can really be a work out, especially if you are working alone!! I want to do this to the peak on the front of my house but now I am a bit worried about cutting the angles correctly. I guess I need a bit of education on that!! Can you tell me what the life of that product is? It did not look super thick, so I was thinking about high winds. Also is the product paintable? Thank you so much for sharing this video with us all, I appreciate the learning experience!!!! I always tell my neighbors when they ask, that I attended the University of RUclips!!!!

    • @madskills5937
      @madskills5937 23 дня назад

      Thank you for sharing, yeah sometimes I make it look easy, but it’s not that hard to cut angles, depending on how much angle you have will determine the pitch, so what that means for every 12” you measure up to your target, and let’s say you come up with 4” that will give a 4 12 pitch, hope that makes some sense, also the siding is pretty durable, washable and paintable, thanks again

    You think this can be done without pulling out the stove? My stove is 48” and countertops are in as well as cabinets. But there’s a 4” gap between the stove and the cabinet. Which I can order the 3” system, but I want to know if I would be able to install without moving anything. Since the stove is extremely heavy and cabinets are set.

    • @madskills5937
      @madskills5937 Месяц назад

What would you estimate the cost to repair the part you just did and how long did it take you. I just want an idea, not an exact cost! It looked like that house didn't have a basement there. Did you ever do the wall and ceiling in a basement? I live in old house my dad built in the 30's and I remodeled quite a few years ago in the 90's. I have some areas that need to be addressed.

      For natural stone I use the sealer and it helps a lot with cleaning the grout, but beware that some will not get out, chose a grout color that will compliment your tile, grout color will determine overall finish, glad to help, thanks

      Well I think I used a tile cleaner, similar to the sealer, ok you can use the sealer to make it easier to clean your grout, but I mainly use it on natural stone because it’s more porous, now if you want to use it on tile I don’t see a problem, just use a small amount and on a rag.

I have watched countless videos trying to figure out how to deal with a rotting pergola on my back patio, and your video is the first I have ever heard of non-galvanized nails being the cause of the wood rot. As a non-carpenter, my mind is blown 🤯 I never would have thought of this/realized this type of thing on my own, and I wonder if it’s the same reason rot got into my pergola. It’s amazing how much knowledge and purpose goes into all the things all around us every day that most of us never have to think about. But hey- that’s why they pay you the Big Bucks, right?!
