      @@craig5147 reason is the hoochie isn’t long enough because of the greater length once extended. It was my original plan to put the Bimini up first but that leaves bigger gaps around the edges.

    Mate, thanks for your effort making the video but it once again displays the youtube mindset of the blind, wanting to lead the blind. The whole video was full of not just poor, but bad advice, from using WD40 instead of oil on many areas, to running the gearbox in reverse for 5 minutes after you just ran it in forward?? And how does that help the grease on the prop shaft, because clearly you don't understand there is no grease in the gearbox as you are thinking? As soon as the steering cable shaft rotated, it was obvious the problem was not in the tilt tube but you persisted to attack it for days?? What piston - that's not how it works? Could it be the cable maybe? Narghh, what cable, let's attack the boat with a high lift jack instead. Mate quit while you're ahead before someone following your advice gets hurt and you get sued. Maybe stick to your day job... as the white Wiggle?

    not sure if you’ve left yet mate, but a 270 awning from kings would be well worth the money and extra weight i reckon, particularly as the cape can get some pretty crucial rain.

      @@JTx804 a 270 awning would be the perfect set up. I’m just on my roof weight limit now so decided against it. On the trip now and definitely need something for rain/sun. I have a gazebo with me which works well, no where near as convenient as a 270 though 👍

    to save money/material as well as make the canopy easier to put on, pull off, instead of the whole meter of velcro being used in one strip, 3 or four 10cm strips along that length would be sufficient. Here is a link to mine i made up, note that the sides do have a gap and don't stretch over the sides, however water ingress isn't an issue due to the wide gunnels channelling it away. I can attest to this as i was overnighting onboard and it bucketed down cats and dogs in the early hours . cheers, looking good. ruclips.net/user/shortsbnojva7KdCM?si=lrIZHXWpBIwQqt3c Btw, I have since added a flap at the rear. the tent is made up of 4 separate pieces, allowing for each to be rolled up for travelling during the day and takes next to no time to put up or down.

    How have you found the rhino rack platform? Does it make much noise when you get up to 100km/hr? Also I'm pretty sure your prado roof is rated to carry 100kg, so you might have to check what your total roof weight is with roof rack, roof tent, awning, solar panel etc to make sure you don't exceed your 100kg limit.

    • @butlerboyadventuresbba4090
      @butlerboyadventuresbba4090 7 месяцев назад

      Platform doesn’t make much noise and I like it for holding swags etc. Prado is 100kg and I will remove the platform before fitting the rooftop because of the weight. A lot of people don’t realise that most vehicles don’t have a high roof load capacity. I will pretty much be on the limit with the tent and solar panel. Not sure what I’ll do with Maxtrax yet because I’ll likely be over 100kg with those.

    If your reel is making that noise when you're winding it in, it means you need to tighten your drag a bit! If you hook a good fish, you need to set the hook by pulling the rod up, but with loose drag it wont work. Great work of the little jew! Persistence pays off :)
