Yeah he absolutely was. Heart games are all about emotions and playing to someone's psychology. To be one of the heart face cards, you need to have that kind of deep understanding of the human heart. However, that also makes you someone who can very easily toy with someone's feelings, and the Jack is the lowest and worst outcome of that. He was egotistical and selfish, forcing people to kill each other through deception and breaking them psychologically for his own entertainment, not to teach them anything valuable. That's also likely why he was the lowest of the heart face cards. If you notice, the Kings and Queens of the suits seem to have a profound understanding of their category, and for hearts, it all gets down to the very core of human emotion and the reason why we have them, as demonstrated by the Queen of Hearts. The Jack? Didn't have that whatsoever. He had no words of wisdom about trust, which means that despite being a master manipulator, he had no understanding about the purpose of this game.

@@kaylenvee8150 I extremely disagree. He had all the understanding of the purpose of the game. Emotional responses and jack of heart is all about the imitation. He imitated being a loser and emotional well enough through the game. The real love is the ego of an individual where they expect whatever their expectation is. He showed precisely that.

@@nlppodcast The condition to win the game is trust, not imitation. You don't actually GAIN anything by lying, you just doom other people. He didn't actually do anything until the very last moment of the game, which was a horrible move because suddenly putting yourself out in the open and saying things like that so close to the end, when before you were just staying quiet and quote: 'pretending to be a loser', makes you extremely suspicious. He also never thought to consider if the other players had formed secret alliances like he had. He just operated completely based off his own pride and ego and that's why his loss is so pathetic. Because he IS pathetic. He doesn't show the wisdom that the other face card players do. His understanding of the human heart and how to manipulate others is very VERY shallow.

Sometimes I wonder if those that had the terrifyingly illuminating misfortune to see the many Biblical catastrophies and miracles first hand, they whose tales would be told and re-told for generations before being written down might;ve seen the same thing as the ancient Hindu peoples had and only described the same essence differently due to their vastly dissimilar languages or what they focused upon/were commanded to focus upon because the similarities are astonishing between the theologically accurate appearances/natures of angels and the ultimate meaning of divinity, eternity, and finally seeing the path of infinite self-improvement clearly. It is clearly terrifying, confusing, yet empathically and undeniably *detailed* with fever inspiring worship being the immediate response of we hairless apes trying to grasp hold onto the earth-unitingly significant truth you've beheld but it is a thing that can't be held by the weak flesh so the effect is like trying to grab fog or prevent a puddle from evaporating. Gone so soon we've always no time, no words can convey it because the foundations of the words needed have yet to be defined clearly or built upon to serve as a more advanced, complex variation and even if they existed you'd forget how to use them best before your mental image fades away into wisps of starstuff.

I mean, Oppenheimer actually says where the phrase is from in his famous quote (not in the movie, the real one). The full quote by Oppenheimer: "I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says, 'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.'"

It’s not supposed to be the same. The original is Oppenheimer saying that will all of life behind him. In the movie it’s his first time realising the power he’s unleashed so it would be delivered differently

In the original speech he says it with some regret in his voice. In the movie, he says it with fear at what he’s just achieved.
