I have the snow white 2PT HSS but swapped for an ebony neck instead of the roasted maple. Charvel thicc ebony boards can't be beat. And the 2 and 3 positions sound killer on these even with distortion, the Full Shred with the Flat Strat single coils. Those single coils are like 11k resistance. Hence the loud noise in just the 5 position, so you'll need a noise gate just for that position. If I wanted to swap for a noiseless neck pickup I'd definitely go with the Heavy Blues 2. It's not as hot but it's still pretty mean like this one and would hold up to the Full Shred.

@@matrixstar2767 To be honest; I thought the same thing when I first got it, but after playing it awhile… I don’t mind it because it’s nice & thin compared to my USA Soloist SL2H & Charvel Dinkys, my Gibsons & PRS are carved & arched top, but I actually like it because it’s different than all my Rock/Metal guitars 🙂
@@comment.highlighted hey! wow you got quite the collection. For me it would be my 1st soloist and I need that curb for my arm rest. I was impressed with the single coil neck pickup too. Plus my vision is of a white guitar! I might still get it, but I almost bought the Soloist SL2A unicorn white because I don't want the arch top. I already have the arch top on my dinky JS32. Cheers!

Also a massive volume/gain difference between the bridge and the neck. HSS the most pointless pickup configuration to ever exist.

MIM Charvels are, pound for pound, the best guitars out there. Incredible necks with rolled edges, high end hardware, great looks and sounds
The only Charvel I have ever owned and still do is the Satchel Signature in the black and white tiger strip. It was a mid-priced ($1300-ish) and is one of my prized possessions. It just plays so fast and smooth. It's two best features, besides the high build quality, is the compound radius board and the Fishman Fluence pickups. They have replaced the Seymour Duncan JB's as my all-time fave pickup, and that's no small feat. These things are amazing. Anyways, Charvel is still a premium builder and you will be happy with them. Liked and subbed.
I have one and love it. I'm needing some help on set up as I tune to D and use fairly heavy strings but that's just me (I'm not really used to Floyds). Basically, its flawless and those pckups sound different than anything else I own.
