What trail head to you start from? I park up at the top of 8th street but wanting to ride from 8th to placerville
Jeremy Raia this trail head is 7 miles before Idaho City about 3 miles up Thorn Creek road on the east side of Highway 21. It would be a good 120 mile round trip from 8th street. 8th to Placerville is doable.

Kelly Smith, thanks it’s been a minute since I’ve seen that video. Trail is pretty overgrown this time of year. I’d like to think I’ve gotten faster with time just haven’t upgraded my GoPro to take new videos.
Ga biou I'm sure you have! I have been watching your videos over the years. You like the 250 2t better than the 450? I can see that. I have a 07' yz450 and though it has plenty of power, it feels heavy in corners. Anyway, keep it up man. Keep posting videos. Have a kick ass day.

+powerlineman18 This area is also called "Wildcat" and is located right off of Bartlett Dam rd. The better area here is right off of 144th St and Aloe Vera staging area, Rio Verde Az. From there the famous #413 Trail that runs from Needle Rock Campsite to Bartlett Dam rd can be accessed easily.Take Scottsdale rd north from the 101 fwy, then right onto Dynamite then left on 144th st and it is 1 mile past Lone Mountain rd-Power Line Trail. Hope that helps!
Having not ridden this trail yet, what direction where you going. Looks somewhat similar to Eagleson Trl (211) which I have ridden, in that some of it looks like an old logging road. Sometimes I can't tell if it is the whole way with overgrowth. Looks fun though, thanks.

Looks pretty tough. It looks similar to the ST we have here in AZ...including those damn jumping cactus. Those knarly climbs look really challenging...that's the type of stuff I like. My ktm 350 xcf-w makes it much easier. Any way I can find out where those trails are? Would be cool to check them out sometime if we head up that direction.

I can't believe you tried this with a track bike. Hardcore bro Hardcore. I'd give my left one to ride 25% of what you're doing. I only wish go pro could film a bit more realistic. It's hard to tell the depth of reality with go-pro.
Looking back at this video the chest mount sucks. I've since ditched the macho 450 in favor of a YZ295 big bore 2 stroke.

He does ride with Taylor and moonlights as his trials coach. They are now recently neighbors too. In order to get stock like feel from the Rekluse you must go all in on the Core EXP 2.0 kit. It will still have slightly heavier pull but you can tune the amount of engine braking and engagement response timing. Taylor actully prefers to run without the Rekluse unless racing Endurocross. Trying to restart a hot 4-stroke can take you out of the race.
Ok awesome man does he ride with taylor Robert? And could you ask him if there is any way to make the clutch easier to pull.. Like a softer spring or something I'm not keen on the rekluse option.. I enjoy the feel of the ktm hyrolic clutch.. Thanks man
Thanks for the feedback. I was fortunate today to network my way into a ride invitation from a local dealer salesman, so that will be a great help in building riding friendships and learning the trails. With any luck I'll bump into you someday out there! I am so grateful to be moving to ID and for the welcome I've received from everyone I've talked to. ID rocks! Or should I say, ID Rides!
The bike in the video is a 2010 KX250 with minimal mods, but today he and all the Endurocross pros run a Rekluse, 280cc big bore, tire balls or mousse bibs, and suspension set up to your liking is about it.
It was but the trails are not labelled when you get there. Takes about 4 rides to figure out where you are on the map. It's a different management agency than say the Danskin Mountains that are clearly marked each trail intersection.
Dude what year model is that kx? and do you know what mods he did to it? I do this type of riding with my ktm 200 and want to get a kx250f 2013 and modify it a bit.. PLease help.. Cheers

Your friend is really bad at staying on the trail... If you want these trails to stay open we need to work on that.
I placed 13th out of 24 teams in the A group. My 6th lap time was off pace by 2 min due to severe left hand blistering or I would have finished 9th.
