I was at the meeting. I am sure the community are happy to hear of a move from bags to bins. No-one enjoys paying almost $10 for a plastic bag. The problem is all financial however. Mandatory payment through rates is going to be the problem. There are many that would be putting a near empty bin out after two weeks. A bin would last many 6 weeks or more. We were told there is new technology available that can deal with bins. We were also told there was provision to opt in. I have a good idea of the mood of the community. Consultation ans submission processes need to be meaningful. Having 10% support will not be acceptable and will cause problems. BDC is not flavour of the month as it is. The obvious compromise is a user pays bin service.

Sound quality seems much better. Not great but at least this meetings is watch-able. A very good start. Thanks.

I didn't watch the Zoom but I have started watching the RUclips video. The quality of the pic and sound is good. Unfortunately some of the BDC video has been difficult to watch. Many complaints about the sound. I think this format is very good. Any communication and feedback is great.
