Goal the keeper fumbled it, it rolled and got kicked in the goal

No goal because they kicked the ball while the keeper had it in possession. That is a yellow card for whoever kicked the ball.

Every league I've ever played in stopping a goal with your hands is an awarded goal and a red card. Surprised this was a penalty kick.

@@David-fx8sm what league are you playing in 🤣. The punishment is a red card and a penalty for the other team. What is the point in hand balling it if it is a goal anyway. You would do this when its like a Luis Suarez handball againts Ghana or Valverde last minute slide tackle on purpose to stop Athletico from scoring. Even if its an accident its still awarded as a goal. This is probably the most American rule I have heard 💀

Why did that player hand ball it and not hit it with his head? He is old enough to head it and when he heads it to the keeper he can catch it. The keeper also should have dived for it and the keeper is not Behind the line so the ref should have called a retake pen
the real mistake was when the defender headered the ball towards the goal. it was goal bound, but yes he should not have used his hands to block the goal. unfortunate
At that moment, it seems only the hands were quick enough. Trading a certain goal for a penalty kick, even though the end result remained the same, still feels like a reasonable decision. It looks as if the keeper might have been able to dive and save it. Without knowing his proficiency in his position, it's hard to say whether that's too much to expect.
