    Wow 400k miles! I would be happy to get that out of mine. I have an 05 civic LX SE with 140k on it. So far so good. I know our gen civic can have head gasket issues. Have you had to replace head gasket ? Any major issues ? How often do you change oil ? Are you burning any oil ? Lastly what mileage did you buy the car ?

    • @TrevorMuellerTV
      @TrevorMuellerTV 27 дней назад

      No head gasket issues, no other major issues. Oil is changed every 3,000 miles if not sooner and does not burn any. I just recently purchased the car but I know the previous owner and the car’s history.

  • @ScotianRob
    @ScotianRob Год назад

    I just saw this. Ok.... If you are going to use two antennas like this, the best place to mount them is between the engine hood and the inner fender. Use thin enough material to fit, yet still be strong enough to hold the antenna's weight. The mount will be out from the fender somewhat. A 1/4 wavelength is 8' 6". This is the distance you need to get the proper performance and swr out of your antennas. You will still need to check and maybe adjust your swr but it shouldn't be out by much if you use the proper coax. The other option is to use the same location as pictured but create mounts that have the antennas 8' 6" apart. These options will also make it a hell of a lot easier to connect the coax.

    GEEZ, the base of the antenna has no ground plane. This is why you see mag-mounted antennas in the roof center so they will Transmit and Receive in a 360 deg pattern. That mess you have requires 75 ohms coax not the std 50 and being mounted low the SWR will be off and Trans and receive will be towards the rear and crappy, to say the least towards the front. Find your local Ham Radio shop for help. PS don't be upset if they laugh
