Have you any experience with Seydel Valves?

Does the slide go against the aluminum or is there a steel backplate on the new comb. I would think the slide rubbing against aluminum would be very bad in a short period of time.

Great video! I'm trying to learn it by following the instructions you have given. Not sure, but i may be doing it incorrectly right now - i am creating the effect by fluctuating the force with which i blow/draw. On the blow it is especially difficult.

You do not need to unscrew all the screws for the tuning plate on a Polle Harmonica. Only the top two. You loosen the row below, so you can easily remove the tuning plate and carry out maintenance.

I previously commented on your Hohner Super 64x repair video but since this is a newer video you may see it sooner. I have a 24 year old Hohner Super 64x harmonica I bought new for $125 US although they steadily increased in cost to around $650 US before they topped production of that model.. Mine is still in pristine condition as I am not primarily a harmonica player but I do play it occasionally. Mine is air tight and the paint and gold plating on the mouthpiece is like new since I spend a lot of time cleaning and maintaining it when I do play it. The reeds have held up fine and good tune although I make a point of not bending the notes or overstressing them. I am curious how that old harmonica compares to some of the newer high end harmonicas. I know Hohner discontinued my version and has a newer version now but it looks nothing like the one I have.

Thanks for the description. I'd be interested in seeing your comparison of the different plastic chromatics & how they compare. I own a Hohner CX12, I love the tone but the wind savers/ valves are so problematic. I just end up playing my Suzuki Chromatix all the time, great harmonicas!

Whot is the standard frequency of calibration?

A little off topic but between the Suzuki SCX-48 and the Hohner 270 Deluxe which one do you think is better in your opinion? Any other recommendation around this price range is also appreciated! Currently looking to get either the SCX-48 or the Hohner 270 Deluxe as a beginner.

Just curious. Do you do harmonica repairs just for your country or do you repair them no matter where it's coming from?
