I was born in England and find that Americans have a lot of ignorance with regards to their heritage (I was a teenager so can't expect alot) but found I wanted to go back to England sometime because I couldn't have a stimulating conversation about our heritage. It’s funny; cause I’m Dominican and have had black people “remind me” how I’m black. And have met black people who got offended when I acknowledge that my ancestry contains Afrocentric roots. I grew up in Harlem to A black Dominican father and White Dominican mother. To which I also had black people tell me how I’m not actually black cause my mother presents as Caucasian. 😂😂😂. This argument is dumb at this point. Love yourself, honor who you love, and respect your elders. And pass all three on to your children.
