I think his father was very jealous of him and his talents. He could have also had some discontent and hatred towards Elton’s mother and her family that would also make him show such discontent and hatred towards Elton. Instead of loving and embracing his own child that obviously wanting love and affection from him he instead was very selfish and shoved Elton away. I hope Elton knows that it isn’t his fault that it is something terribly deep down emotionally wrong within his father and not Elton at all. Unfortunately Elton is deeply affected by his fathers own emotional issues and actions much like any son would be.His father truly missed out!

Just read Elton's book "Me", where Elton wrote his comments here about Madonna ended his and Molly's relationship. Elton, please give Molly a second chance. Your comments were obviously said "off the record" and Australia's Channel 7 - being the c**ts they are - have added it, I'm sure despite Molly's protests. Australian TV journalists and producers have no integrity (I know - I'm a former newspaper journalist and editor) - all they care about is rating and their egos.
