Is the N54 BMW's most OVERRATED engine? | Power Rankings
The n54 was unleashed upon the world in 2006, representing an entirely new generation of direct-injected, turbocharged BMWs. The BMW n54 in my opinion is undoubtedly a legendary engine, but many people argue that the issues this platform has exclude it from the 'best inline-6s of all time' conversation. Is this engine worth owning, or should you save yourself {and wallet} the headache?

How to fix your Audi's Headlight Level Sensor Repair ... for FREE | Audi A4 / S4 / RS4 {B6/B7}
Просмотров 107День назад
If you have a B6 or B7 at some point you might get an error titled "Dynamic Headlight Range Control Fault." One of the causes for this error can be related to the Headlight Level Sensor becoming disconnected from the driver side front control arm. Oftentimes there is nothing wrong with the sensor itself; Just the plastic arm has broken in a way so that it's no longer attached to the control arm...

    Love my n54. An 07 335i with 194k miles and still running strong🤗....hate all the HORRIBLE electrical issues that comes with it especially if you swap to led bulbs for the head and taillights😒

    Unreliable? Sure, if you dont take care of your basic maintenance. Had a single turbo kit on my car for the past 15k miles with little to no issues because Ive stayed on top of my maintenance. These motors are sadly plagued by moronic owners who neglect taking care of their cars. Not overrated IMO, 700whp stock block + a banging 6 speed manual trans is perfection,

    Bro it’s 2025, NOBODY should have an n54 and not do a Di delete. just go with port Injection, you no longer need those expensive index 12, or the hpfp. And stand-alone Ecus all support this.

    The newer Audi Torsen C center differential is asymmetric, so the static front-to-rear torque split is 40/60. Up to 70% can be biased to the front and up to 85% to the rear.

    Once again as a disclaimer: *This is not the "correct" way to fix your headlight level sensor.* The zip tie method is simply a quick/cheap fix to get you by until you decided to replace the entire module. That being said ... The zip tie method worked problem free for 3 years on my S4 until I replaced it with a complete new module from ECS {before they started doing lifetime warranties}. So as always, use your critical thinking skills and make informed decisions that are best for you and your personal situation.

I’ve just gotten tired of the complexity and maintenance issues with ICE and the current generation of EVs that are nothing more than an ICE vehicle with the engine swapped out for an electric motor and cost the same to fuel as gasoline!

    I doubt another roadster will ever happen. The promised roadster has been announced every years for like 7 years straight now and there's like no proof they're even developing it at all, it's all smokes and mirrors. They'd rather make stupid looking trucks, robotaxis and bipedal useless flashy robots than improve their manufacturing and drop the costs. The affordable Tesla that's under 20k that has been promised is a non existent vaporware at this point, same with the Semi. Tesla is a company that hypes up, swallows the preorders, is never on time with the deliveries, under delivers or doesn't deliver at all. Musk is a ruthless business man, he manipulates the markets and lies constantly, he has no quarrels for his actions and his ego is beyond inflated, he basically brute forced his business and continues to fail upwards. Makes him an effective business man, but at the expense of the consumers, however the techbro cult that he has fostered basically neuters most of the valid criticism of his products. Just a friendly advice, take every word he spits out with a good spoonful of salt. That man is all about wealth accumulation and stroking his ego, if he actually cared for Tesla as a brand, Cybertruck would have never been made in the first place.

    Of course, I'm watching this video as I'm a new tesla owner in Colorado. We also have two Honda Elements (so, not "appliance" but "utility") and a '69 Vette coupe (350/350) in Monaco Orange. We bought the Tesla because sometimes (as your video alludes), you just need a car. And in Colorado between incentives and price reductions, my 2024 Model Y Performance (MYP) cost me only a ridiculously low $25K. That's $30K off MSRP ! You just can't say no to that kind of deal. It's our second electric, the first being a 2017 Chevy Bolt. (Which left us via a very generous GM buyback. No issues at all, but when GM offered full purchase price back, again, couldn't say no. Four years of driving a free electric vehicle spoiled us!) The Model Y was attractive because it really is NOT a lot of what this video is about. It's fast, it's fun (I don't do self-driving) and AWD electric is GREAT in the winter to get to ski areas. (I say this from experience: I was a mountain host in Keystone and always was where I needed to be even with the FWD Bolt). The build quality question is totally not applicable: The Model Y has been in production for quite some time and on pickup inspection I couldn't find ANY flaws with fit and finish (and that is from a guy that is the son of a former Cadillac craftsman metal finisher.). We went for it specifically because of the "stability" of the design and yes, the price. Next year (2025) will launch the "Juniper" update of the Model Y, so that will raise new build concerns and surprisingly will not have the stalks that we are all used to having (blinker, etc). So we dodged that bullet. The Model Y will likely be around for us at least for 10 years. Same with the 1969 Vette. Different jobs, different tools. Not everything is a nail, not everything needs to be a hammer.

    Not sure where the right to repair stuffs comes from. Directions to fix things are available anywhere. I dismantled my old bimmer engine plenty of times-a tesla is much more simple. Ihave no issues with working on mine. U can also buy parts from the dealership, and install them yourself....Ev repair companies are popping up all over. U can get individual battery cells repaired, or even buy(upgrade) entire packs off of ebay for a fraction of the cost. The model S changed the genre- but it's only been around since 2012. Car guys have been doing ice car stuff for 150 years.

Now I have just as much fun doing a canyon run in my Tesla Model 3 as well as my stick shift gas car. The Tesla Model 3 with generative braking is awesome going into a turn. Taking your foot off the accelerator pedal into a turn is like downshifting into second gear. Than full acceleration out of the turn is instant power, so exhilarating. You only get that feeling in a Porsche 911. This video is so wrong, it’s not funny. Just another Tesla negative propaganda hit piece, to try and bring Tesla share price down for short sellers. Good luck!

    I have never owned a Tesla (but did have a CT reservation in until I saw the production model) but have ridden in a LOT of Tesla model 3 and Y Ubers and make a point to talk to the drivers about the cars. Once they hit 50K or so miles they feel like a 200K mile Kia or a 300K mile Chicago cab - loud, harsh riding, with plastic interior parts that are falling off. The drivers always comment that they like how they drive but the build quality is lacking and the service centers are pretty useless for road noise or "cosmetic" issues. I live in Austin and used to see a lot of new Teslas (paper tags in the back window) but see few just bought new ones now. I think between Elon turning maga, dropping the price so much just to make quarterly sales numbers that a lot of the existing owners are very upside down on the cars and are stuck with them for a long time, crazy high insurance rates, and a mostly stale model lineup, they are in trouble. Few maga "members" buy electric cars, the CT is not a "real" truck, just an interesting $80K plus sorta status symbol, and most of the green original EV crowd that I know would rather catch a nasty case of saber tooth crotch crickets and an IRS audit that be seen buying a new Tesla. My maga next door neighbor would be a perfect Tesla customer use case but he bought a new Tahoe instead. Another reason that I think that they are in trouble is I commute down Highway 79 and pass the rail depot between Hutto and Taylor about a dozen times a week that Tesla ships a lot of their cars from Austin through. I used to always pass half a dozen to a dozen car haulers each way and there were always a couple of haulers parked by the Sonic getting food. I is now surprising to see more than one or two a day between morning and afternoon. Between this and a lot of local rumors of reduced production they are not breaking any sales records.
